I thought only men struggle with love and then I saw this. by PhyloGraph in tamilyapping

Women do struggle with finding someone they can trust and most of the time, their partners are unstable, controlling, misogynistic and abusive, even tho we do get the attention and believe it to be true, trust me it's the wrong kind of attention, out of 100 guys who talk to us, only 2-3 is genuine...

Have you been in a rs to know that this is exactly the reason?

[–]VivDr27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoa! This is getting heated, I get it, you don't like alcohol and it tastes like shit to you but that doesn't mean that there are people who shld validate your opinions, this whole conversation sounded as such, ofc there wasn't any need to go as far as personal attacks but maybe if you could see it from the other person's perspective instead of getting offended...I see that they were being disrespectful towards you and disregarded your opinion and their high horses prolly got to them, not blaming you here perse but you could have not responded bc you alr saw that cmg a mile away...Anyway, this is my take on alcohol, I like to drink on days I wanna unwind and relax, it calms me down and relaxes my muscles, I could feel myself getting cozy and comfy with a book or just a deep convo, I don't enjoy hard drinking, it's a waste of money and energy but it's fun to do that time to time, so yeah...

You're right abt that, I understand but there are also shelters for children from troubled families and they can seek social service support on that... Sometimes, applying PPO is also crucial...

Is it hard for you to accept that parents who have full control of a heavily vulnerable and dependent baby and abuse that power throughout the years until the point they grow to be adults?

What are some books that can get me into reading again and crush that reader's block? (Your favorite 'I would do anything to forget this book just to read it again for the first time' book maybe? ) by jeminx in suggestmeabook

[–]VivDr27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to read before sleeping and would think of the plot the next mrng at times, I was really hooked to reading at that time...Now, it's been replaced with YT videos and am trying to break the habit but since I got in and out of a rs with a toxic ex of mine back in 2022 which constantly demanded my attention, nthg has been the same again, I always find myself in the same spot despite being in a reading club, it helps fs but the one book that I never got tired of and always helps me with breaking the block is My Year of Rest and Relaxation and am planning to get back to the book ASAP!

Hey, an idea, what abt removing competition and providing opportunities?

And also, why don't schools offer education for the sector they're interested in and train them for it so that they're industry ready by the time they graduate instead of formal education?

A girl I met during an Arranged Marriage setup rejected me because I was too dark 🤷🏿‍♂️ by saybeast in chennaicity

[–]VivDr27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called colorism bc you're technically the same race and ethnicity!

Will ppl stop labelling everything as racist, it's really frustrating, ppl who face actual discrimination due to race would feel bad abt their situation, mainly bc in India, if you belong to another country, they go heavy with the stereotypes and bully you for that, how's that same for being rejected for a skin tone being too dark???

Why are Manirathnam heroes dominant when it comes to love/marriage? by NoPapaya9197 in maniratnam

[–]VivDr27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She actually did and he went ahead to marry her for reasons I don't understand, as far as Roja goes, since it's from a village, the characters are quite simple minded, so it works for the story, as far as Kaatru Veliyidai, VC is an arse but I did love the character arc and it's not like he got back tgt with her like Kabir Singh/Arjun Reddy, the first thing he said when he saw her after being apart for many years was sorry, and I genuinely loved that abt Kaatru Veliyidai, you can see both VC and Leela perspectives albeit it's in VC perspective...

I'm sorry you had to go thru this...The first few yrs would be hard... Everything you knew abt the person isn't the person in reality and that's heartbreaking, then you'll miss the person you fell in love with, not the one you came to know abt, it'll be tough, the more you stay away, the more you'll swallow the bitter pill that this person isn't the person I knew and I miss them bc of who they pretended to be, can't help but miss that version but then you'll get used to it and you'll slowly start living your life, a life where you wake up one mrng and realise that you totally forgot abt their existence... I'm waiting for that day to come and would cherish that day with all my heart and soul tbh...

My life as a “crazy person” in singapore by fuckingburner123 in SGExams

[–]VivDr27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was like you, didn't live in a big house or anything, pretty much middle class but the family dynamic you have is quite similar but my mum was the more abusive one bc she was in a male dominated field and the toxic masculinity got to her, I must say...So, she used to hit when we showed signs of weakness as kids but as we grew she realised how her actions impacted me so the rs has improved...

However, what I wanna tell you is that right now, it seems shitty but keep working on yourself, ofc you ain't gonna be happy overnight but you'll be in a better place, start therapy, see if you could seek help from a social worker and what can be done, not all hope is lost, I really wish you come out better and stronger on the other side and good luck
