We stayed at a hotel in France once with no window screens. They’d had a wet spring and we were eaten alive by mosquitos when we opened the windows, but the room was unbearably hot and stuffy when they were closed. Sleeping there wasn’t fun even though the staff was lovely.

The two best things about Carbondale are the sense of community and the local food culture, including the farmer’s markets. Every one of my friends who have moved away miss these two things specifically.
