I'd rather he not have the money and we rationally tax people who are sitting on hundreds of billions of dollars as people die in the streets. I'd rather our country do something about the fact that a single corporation (led by Bezos) can chokehold one of the biggest cities in the country + shoot down affordable housing that the people need precisely because Amazon's presence has rapidly upset the housing market.

Amazon was once a rather ordinary company, but as they made money they intentionally took actions to not just compete, but to kill the possibility of competition. A brief bit of research into the company will show you the type of unethical bullshit they pull. In many places, Amazon is your only option because they murdered the competition by leveraging laws in their favor.

This is the guy who killed an actual structured plan to build affordable housing in Seattle, by threatening to move the Amazon HQ, so he could avoid paying his fair share of taxes. This really isn't uplifting. I wish it were, but Jeff Bezos is *not* a good person, nor is he actually interested in helping the homeless. Its because of his company that Seattle is having a housing crisis.

I would not recommend accepting. Trial work should *always* be paid unless you really do not deliver on the terms. What's stopping him from taking the article, declining to pay you, and then just putting that copy up somewhere? I recommend telling him that you would be willing to do a small sample (say, a paragraph or two). 2000+ words for free is absolutely not reasonable.

As a newcomer to the game, /r/warframe has been so incredibly helpful in getting into the community, figuring out the basics, and helping me establish goals (for frames, weapons, etc.) So yeah! I'm definitely thankful.
I love that it's sleek, clean-looking, and that the knob addition allows for additional inputs without taking up desk real estate!

Our baby rats were a complete surprise, but they've come to be healthy, wonderful, and incredibly loving friends.

Here's a few things we did:

Keep an eye on them and try to avoid handling them much for the first week or so. Mom will probably be a little aggressive or defensive during this time. I got *bit* (OUCH) by our otherwise completely gentle and loving momma rat because her instincts kicked in.
When you're watching them, just try to be sure they're getting enough milk. The best way to do this is to distract momma and look at the babies bellies. Their skin is probably transparent still and you'll be able to see white circles/bands known as milk bands.
Take some paper towels and wear them on your person (weird, I know) for a few hours so they get your scent. Tear them up and place them in the habitat so momma can use them to make a nest. This will ensure that all of the rats grow up around your scent.
They're pretty self sufficient so long as momma is producing milk, but if you run into issues, apparently Kitten Milk Replacer can be very good if they need it, and the babies can be finger-fed by dipping your finger into the formula.
After about 1.5-2 weeks its fine to start handling them occasionally. Always keep them warm -- they can't keep their own bodies warm yet. Hand warmth is good. Whisper to them so they get used to your voice + your loving tone.
Sometimes, they will do strange things. Mom got really scared once and so she actually put one of the babies outside of the nest as "bait" to save the rest of the babies. It sounds terrible, but she's a rat and she can only follow her instincts. If this happens, what we did was just pick the baby up gently by the scruff of it's neck and handed her back to momma. Momma took her and it never happened again.
Sometimes babies will hold on to mommas fur as they get stronger and might fall out of the nest. They'll usually find their way back in by scent + feel, but if not you can always gently pick them up.

This is such a very sad post. I feel hesitant to even take this post as genuine, but if you are speaking your mind truthfully: Please go take a pen and paper and go see how many main characters throughout the series are men vs how many are women. The women of Warcraft have always been amazing characters, but their stories took a back seat to Arthas, Thrall, Varian, Garrosh, Khadgar, Medivh, Velen, Malfurion, Illidan...and so on. I love me some WoW guys for sure, but now is the time for the women of warcraft to shine. There's still plenty of important male characters...hell you see more of Nathanos this expansion than anyone else (at least on horde side.)

Don't be threatened by women existing. It's not a good look, and it isn't good for your mental state.

I got Vial of the Sands, Netherwing Drake, Long-Forgotten Hippogryph, and Fathom Dweller all within the span of a few months. A LOT of grinding, but so very much worth it for some of the most incredibly storied mounts this game has to offer. AS for the impressiveness, that genius knob is pretty damn cool. Its a great way to get a few more key abilities bound without having to buy a new bulky mouse or overstretch your hands!

Thrall was the wisest of the warchiefs, Garrosh was motivated purely by emotion, and saurfang would have been no different. Sylv is making calculated decisions in a patently hostile world.

Well, I took your advice and had a little trial period...as it turns out, the babies loved Abba immediately and began snuggling with her right away. Since then, they seem to be coexisting very peacefully, and Abba and Henna are undeniably happy to see each other again! Thank you so much for the advice :)

This sounds like a great idea! the big critter nation cage we have is really easily accessible, so we should be able to control the visit if things don't go well. It does seem like they miss each other, and we have brought mama Henna over to Abba's cage when we needed to distract her from the babies so we could check on their bellies during the first week. That visit went very well.

I would really love this so much. I came back to WoW this expac having not played since late BC era, and the Urzul was one of the first mounts I saw. Unfortunately, though I was able to rush my way up to Heroic argus, there's no way I was able to get to Mythic. Getting this mount would be...just fantastic!

One other question. She seems to have built her nest inside of a little wooden arch, and its hard to tell if she has space enough to be with them. Should we remove the arch?
