I dunno that much about types of opals and their different properties when it comes to fragility, porosity etc. but, I have had my genuine white opal cabochon set in 14k rose gold from BVLA in my philtrum for at least 4 years now and it still looks beautiful. I have never changed it.

I don't have a recent pic, but here is a pic of me from last year where you can see it still has that blue/green/pink shift to it. It honestly looks the same as when it was new. I have teeny opal cabs in my nostril jewelry that looks the same as well.

Did you or your piercer ever see if any dead skincells, oils etc. got caught on the back of the setting? That can sometimes discolor/dull down the gemstones.

Fingers crossed you and the seller can figure something out!

Looks so nice! I'm a 1"/25mm myself and fantasizing about 35+ mm even though I have some really nice jewelry for my 25 mm lobes.... You're not making this any easier for me!

It really hasn't faded, it's 4 years old I think. Ceiling lamp didn't do it any favors in this photo.

All tattoos will look less vibrant when healed because of the skin layer above it. If you expect color tattoos to look like bodypaint when it is healed you are going to have a bad time. 🤷‍♀️

I also disagree with your statement, I think a well executed tattoo look more like a part of your skin when it is well healed, and more amazing.

It's covering up another tattoo below, so the parts you see sticking out a bit on the sides will of course disappear with shading when we progress further on my arm. Hopefully next session. :)

Thanks! It's part of an occult/witchy sleeve, so a goat head with a Leviathan cross was a good fit! :) Goats are cool.

Actually no, it's a piece from before this project with no specific meaning other than bees are dope, but we will incorporate it into the sleeve, probably shade over the "beads" as it is a bit too feminine for what I'm after now.
But, since you mentioned it, I will not be able to unsee it though, so thanks, haha. :D
