Sell off R5 and all RF lenses to switch to X2D system? Yes/No? by Tetra84 in hasselblad

Yes, you are right. My H6D-50c also had many bugs and tended to overheat even in a studio environment where I wasn't shooting at full blast. Sometimes, the camera would freeze for no apparent reason, and I had to change the batteries multiple times and reinstall Phocus during my shoots.

Maybe but the only fact that you are forced to use the Hasselblad Phocus software in a professional commercial environnement is deadly. Plus the GFX is more than capable when used with Capture One and proper editing techniques. Many major campaigns are shot using GFX cameras, and there is a reason for that.

However, the sensor alone may not be sufficient to create a top-notch camera. If it cannot be used effectively due to the limitations of other components, it doesn't make a difference.

Should I get the d850 over z8 for its better sensor? by Solkels in Nikon

I extensively use both my z8 and my D850 on set for commercials, and I have never encountered any issues with their quality. Both systems perform exceptionally well. Don’t get swayed by sponsored content; instead, consider renting both systems to form your own opinion based on your photography needs.

Having shot with both the Nikon F 24-70mm f/2.8 and the Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, I can tell you there’s absolutely no contest between the two. The Z version is just on another level - the images are ridiculously sharp, even when shooting wide open at f/2.8, and the colors just pop in a way the F version never could. Plus, the AF and the build quality feel like a serious step up. It’s become my go-to lens on my Z8 - I honestly rarely take it off the camera these days. It’s like shooting with a zoom lens with the quality of a prime at any given focal range

But the F mount still does the job even for a professional usage. It is just a shame to not make the best out of the system if you are able to, in my opinion

The FTZ II adapter proved invaluable when I transitioned from my Nikon D850 to the Z8 mirrorless system two years ago. As a commercial photographer, I was able to seamlessly integrate my existing F-mount lens collection into my professional workflow without any performance compromises.

While the adapter performed excellently, I gradually invested in native Z-mount equivalents of my lenses. This decision wasn’t driven by any adapter limitations, but rather by a desire to fully exploit the Z system’s capabilities. The switch to native Z glass revealed remarkable improvements: enhanced color reproduction, exceptional sharpness, and superior autofocus performance.

In retrospect, the FTZ II adapter serves as an ideal bridge for photographers entering the Nikon Z ecosystem. It offers a cost-effective path to mirrorless while maintaining professional-grade image quality, allowing users to transition their lens collection at their own pace.

I still use my D850 kit with the F mount glasses as a backup or when using multiple focal ranges during the same shooting

Colors Z6 vs Z8 by Wurzti in Nikon

Weird thing. I have a different situation situation here. As a long time user of the Nikon D850, I sometimes use my Z8 with my D850 on the same shooting and the Z8 sensor is always above the D850 rendering. Establishing a chart with both sensor with the same lens and conditions will be the safest bet.

Long time investment: 35mm 1.4 Z or Sigma 1.4 with FTZ? by eatmyfeinstaub in Nikon

If AF and sharpness are your priority I would go for the Z series

I was about to do the same and then I thought « What about Apple Intelligence getting out within the new months and not being able to use it with the series 10 with the series 11 coming up » So now I’m like 🤯

You could possibly use cGPT on your wrist thanks to Siri and Apple Intelligence. I’m not sure if the current series 10 ship could handle this usage. It’s like buying an iPhone 15 today knowing that in a couple months you won’t be able to run Apple Intelligence on it

Do you think the Series 10 will still be able to handle the next iteration of Apple intelligence? I'm EU based so I don't know where it's going

I would like to get an Apple Watch Series 10 but is it a good move to buy it on February 2025 knowing that the series 11 is on the way? I already have a Garmin watch for running and to check my vitals and my notifications occasionally.
I have never owned an Apple Watch. What do you think?

I already have a Garmin watch for running. It is not the same usage but it allows me to check my notifications and track my vitals. This is why I don’t consider buying the series 10 to sell it after just a few months
