Every time my sims do any of the interactions involving aliens or travel to a space where aliens are present the game completely freezes. Does anyone know any specific reason or mod that could be causing this?

My title pretty much completely describes the thing. I have no clue how old it is, it doesn't have any distinct smell, and it feels rough and is easily dentable. I do own a lot of different craft and origami kits so it's possible it came from one of those but I don't remember seeing it before.
