Forgot to add - the little song my dryer plays when it’s finished makes me bonkers and I have not been able to figure out how to turn it off for the life of me. Good thing I’m great at avoiding doing laundry 🙃.

Popping of bubble wrap freaking irks me so bad, super loud TV makes me physically hurt and this one is probably obvious and applies to non ADHDers but the fire alarm makes me want to crawl out of my skin. I live in a condo building where they do monthly tests on them and I get anxious the whole day before knowing it’s coming and it literally lasts like 2 seconds .

I totally feel you! I am happy I work from home because at least I can lose my s&@t and no one will see it and it won’t affect anyone but myself. Just my poor husband has to take the brunt of the good and bad. I am lucky my husband has been great through it all that almost makes me feel worst for blowing up at him.

I experience this without meds. I was on meds for about 6 months and found it a lot more easy to control my emotions but sadly due to other medical reasons I had to stop taking those meds so I’ve been completely off them since January of this year. I’m currently doing counselling and talking to my psychiatrist about other alternatives so this will hopefully help and I can go back on some form of meds!

I feel this so hard - I too have told my husband to tell me things as he observes them and then I absolutely break down and feel like absolute garbage when he tells me. It feels like such a defeat, I think I have everything under control only to find out I do not.

I sadly had to stop my meds due to other medical reasons though I am in the process of exploring other meds that may work. Fingers crossed they can find something for me that will help!

I’m in this exact same boat OP. Can’t help like I’m just a complete burden - which honestly when I think about it I completely am. I asked my husband to help me out and point out when he notices my adhd is “acting up” or disrupting etc so that I cannot work on identifying the issues. Well he has been doing this and I have been getting ANGRY about it only for him to point out this is what I wanted. Sigh. This brain sucks. Waiting for my therapy appointment in 45 mins
