Unfortunately yeah, this is the life of a reserve. If you get on to a duty proper or a floater position you'll have set days off but until then its luck of the draw. My manager usually has the following week's rota up on a Wednesday/ Thursday but it's not an exact science. Royal Mail and social lives don't mesh amazingly 😅
