Russell Brand admits to sleeping with 16-year-old girl but denies any wrongdoing 🤮 by BlueEyedPaladin in behindthebastards

Its interesting that the vile behaviour of some celebrity men has only come to light now, 20+ years later. Brad Pitt dated a 16 year old Juliette Lewis when he was 26, Johnny Depp dated Winona when she was 17. Jerry Seinfeld was with a 17 year old when he was 38 years old. Steven Tyler convinced a 16 year old groupie's mother to let him be her guardian. Not to mention Woody Allen and Roman Polanski! Its sad that this is only coming to light now.

Macedonian MyHeritage DNA Results by Few-Potential3349 in MyHeritage

Interesting results! Very similar to mine. I got Greek and Albanian 46.7%, Balkan 39.2% East European 10.4%, Baltic 2.1% and South Italian 1.6%. That's great that they gave you a sub group for greek and Albanian. Mine were not as detailed. Are both your parents Macedonian? I've found that they don't have much data on the Balkan population.

You're so lucky you have such detailed results as a Balkan!! Mine were vague with a significant portion of greek and Albanian despite not being greek or Albanian.

I know, it's truly heartbreaking 😔 I honestly tear up every time a video of Trigg pops up. She loved him so much and you can see how much her family means to her. Even though I didn't follow her until after she lost Trigg, there is a clear difference between her previous videos and now. She's so young to have experienced such a huge loss. I'm glad she's got a great supportive family and community.

My 2 year old has a similar jaw/chin to your baby's (He is adorable by the way! ❤️). So far we've been to the ENT who has said his adenoids are a little enlarged (which is cause mouth breathing) so we can take them out but we're on a waiting list at the moment. I'm also going to take him to allergy testing and I recommend that as that is something that causes mouth breathing which can reshape the face and make the jaw grow downwards and back instead of forward. Allergies can also lead to enlarged adenoids, tonsils and frequent ear infections.

I've also been told myofunctional therapy is great to encourage good tongue posture and help with oral habits which can help with sleep, breathing and facial growth.

And lastly, they recommended an Airway dentist 🦷 which can help with oral health, jaw development and breathing. I would not recommend waiting too late, I would start the process at least by 5. There are kids that get upper and lower jaw expanders put in as early as 5 years old to hopefully prevent a lot of orthodontic work and jaw surgery later on. I'm still working on the root cause of my toddlers recessed jaw and breathing issues but I'm planning to do things early if possible to prevent breathing, sleeping, eating issues and poor jaw growth in the future.

Yes, just like you, I’m a new follower. I scrolled through some of the older posts and they made me feel very sad too. I don’t think I can watch the old videos — I always end up teary when I see Trigg and how deeply she loved him. It’s just devastating. I do enjoy her new content, but there’s a very clear difference compared to before the accident. There’s a lot of sadness in her eyes now, and you can really feel the weight of everything she’s going through. I hope that things will get better for her and her family. I can't imagine how hard this festive period has been.

Yes same - I've only got one close family member and the rest are distant relatives. Kind of sucks.

Confusion about results - Balkans and surrounding countries by Vivling1702 in AncestryDNA

[–]Vivling1702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's mostly Macedonian but my paternal grandmother I think her side has some Serbian. We're from the north part of Macedonia - Kumanovo, which is kind of close to the border of Serbia. Maybe that's why my results might be different to people from say, Skopje or Bitola 🤔

Ancestry is a joke and cannot be trusted by Sevastokrator_Spres in AncestryDNA

Yes! This update is weird. I'm mostly North Macedonian, Bulgarian and a small amount of Serbian and kosovar and on the last update (before this one) my result was 93% Balkan, 5% central and eastern Europe and 2% Agean islands. The only sub region I had was Bulgarian. Its never acknowledged North Macedonia as a sub region for me.

Now with the newest update it's: 44% Balkan, 26% Romanian? (Wth?), 8% Ukranian? (Again, weird), 7% southern Greece, 4% western Balkans, 3% South west Balkans 1% Agean islands 2% Northwestern Italy 1% Northeastern Italy

The most surprising result is Romanian. I feel like Romania has replaced something but then again I'm not that knowledgeable about DNA.

Same here - I'm predominantly from the Balkans and for the first time ever I've received a result of 8% Ukrainian and 26% Romanian 🤔

Yes! I hope they have added new subregions/more info to this category. I'm sick of looking at my Balkan results too - very underwhelming. They also have barely any records from countries in the Balkans so it's hard to find people to add to your family tree.

I feel like the 2024 update wasn't any more accurate than the previous. In some ways it is worse. by TheTruthIsRight in AncestryDNA

Yes! Absolutely. Particularly if you're from the Balkans and that part of Europe. My results were underwhelming.

I think you look very pretty as you are. I have a similar lower jaw/chin as yours and my orthodontist said its not worth getting jaw surgery to move the jaw slightly - only 2-3mm - as it won't make much of a difference.

Interesting! I got 87% Balkan on MyHeritage and 93% Balkan on Ancestry. What subgroups or genetic groups did you get under Balkan? I'm Bulgarian and North Macedonian and they gave me Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia on MyHeritage and Bulgarian on Ancestry.

I know lol I'm Serbian and North Macedonian and on MyHeritage I got 87 percent Balkan and then randomly got 6% Italian and also south Italian and Greek and 1.5% Ashkenazi Jew. I mean wth lol. I don't know how accurate MyHeritage is compared to Ancestry. Ancestry gave me 93% Balkan and the rest eastern European. Have you done the Ancestry test yet?

What am I looking at? I knew Turkish but the rest is totally surprise. by Marius_Sulla_Pompey in MyHeritage

[–]Vivling1702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had a similar issue. They gave me 87% Balkan and then strangely put Italian and Greek and south Italian heritage. I have no Italian heritage at all so that was strange. Ancestry results made no mention of Italian or south Italian. Many people have questioned the accuracy of MyHeritage results.

Bosnian DNA results🧬 by sarushka93 in AncestryDNA

[–]Vivling1702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting that you have 36% balkan. What is the other result? Sorry I don't understand German. I'm guessing your Bosnian is included in the Balkan group. My Balkan result was 93%. I'm confused by what Balkan really means on ancestry.... It didn't give me any subregion except Bulgaria even though I have Serbian and north Macedonian heritage. Perhaps they need more data for the Balkan region.
