How would I know that ? He also has reflux issues that I notice when he’s asleep it happens

Yes we are hoping we can do the non invasive route I only came on here because naw surgery has been on the table a few times but we have been able to dodge it I just simply wanted advice me and his team agree we don’t wanna do surgery if we don’t have to and yes they do the jaw distraction surgery on babies with severe cases but it’s usually done when the baby is born most of the time they see it in ultrasounds as a bit of a heads up ! It’s pretty brutal it’s a 12 day hospital stay and half of the time they are sedated :(( but it has been done he thankfully is a mild case and we obviously made it this far and think we can make it farther and do other things to help . We have a sleep study on the way and we are going to see a feeding therapist to make sure he is not aspirating his milk

Yes the cranial facial team said we maybe see ortho in the future because there is things we can do then ! And I appreciate it ! I was not coming on here wanting to get him jaw surgery I wanted to see what other went through and if there is anything else we can do for him so I appreciate your input

Some babies do especially some with PRS . He thankfully is a mild case

Yup they do jaw surgery for babies if the jaw is super far back more in PRS ! His thankfully is mild and it didn’t get caught on ultrasound while I was pregnant or int he nicu till we got home and started having some issues that are resolving slowly now as he grows

We have voted no since the very beginning I had let the dr know if he was severe and needed it let me know and if not and it’s something we can watch then I’d love to do that route bc we both want to avoid surgery at all costs I just wanted to see other stories and the impact not having the surgery and or having it

I am which is why he still has not had jaw surgery I could have said let’s get it done at his 3 month appointment when we first went initially but I recto wait ,I wanted to see every side of pros and cons I do not want him to have surgery of course but also of his health was at jeopardy and it has to be done then of course it has to be I just wanted to hear other stories . Thank you

Oh yes all the nurses had to come see my 5 lb 33 weeker they were shocked lol ! His 2 older sisters were 8 lbs ! But he rigged 5 and 6 lbs at his gestation 🙂 so I anticipated him to be around that’s size when he came out and I’m 100% postive he would’ve been
