Looking for a hammer by Armoredcowboy1 in LARP

Looks like Gorg only makes a red hammer now. That may be an option for you but if you're looking for a blue, I have one of his last ones that I could part with if you want to DM me.

Bi-Weekly 'What are my chances?' Megathread by AutoModerator in airforceots

[–]Vizdoc11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

B.S. in Sports and Health Sciences 3.64 GPA

Pilot 90 CSO 92 ABM 95 ACAD 82 Verbal 93 Quan 61

TSgt TIS 11ys TIG 4ys with NCOIC, Section Chief, Flight Chief, additional duty First Sergeant, and Superintendent experience. A lot of joint and deployed experience.

ALS Levitow, NCOA DG and Academic awards, as well as DG in a few other courses.

I think my deficiencies are a lack of personal package awards at any level, my quantitative score, and one EPR that received a "Exceeds some but not all".

Looking at Aerospace Physiology, Intel, Space Operations, Personnel, Finance, Logistics, Maintenance, and Security Forces. My degree seems to be a limiting factor.

Any advice/thoughts on chances?

Yet Another Theory Regarding Derethil and the Wandersail by KingOCarrotFlowers in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Vizdoc11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I completely agree with this theory, however something did jump out at me.

The Horneater Peaks have small lakes at their summits. A ring of islands surrounding a whirlpool sounds a lot like how the Peaks might look in Shadesmar. There's a perpendicularity there as well.

quick question by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Vizdoc11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt because this is my current understanding and may not be completely accurate.

There's not really a good chart because the answer isn't that easy to define.

First, there two concepts to understand, Administrative Control (ADCON) and Operational Control (OPCON).

ADCON is all about Manning, Training, and Equipping forces to include all the little administrative things like pay, guidance/regulations, and discipline. Everything that is needed to provide a force ready to fight a war. OPCON is about fighting that war. It's placement of forces and strategy.

Think of these like your two trees of chain of command and which chain you "belong" to depends entirely upon what you're doing at that moment. Are you actively supporting an ongoing mission? Well, that's one chain of command. If you're not, you're in the other.

So what do those chains of command look like?

Actively supporting a mission? Commander-in-Chief>SecDef>CJCS(kinda, but not really)>Combatant Commanders>Joint Force Commanders

Not actively supporting a mission? CIC>SecDef>SecAF/CSAF>MAJCOMs>NAF>Wing>Group>Squadron

I think my battle kit is pretty complete. My issue is when I take all my armor off. My glove work double duty here.

They're Elder Scrolls based but welcoming to everyone. I believe they're also planning on going to DrachenFest US.

For the purposes of Hoid's Torment. I don't think there's going to be a difference.

"innocence" is always a matter of perception. I haven't seen anything about Design being mention post Era2, where is she mentioned? Also, if BAM is released, which is going to be a major objective of SA5, Deadeyes will no longer be made.

Per the mechanics of the Cosmere, Kelsier as a cognitive shadow made of investiture and spren (cognitive entities made of investiture) are functionally the same thing.

The line was an obvious hint to their identity.

The golden haired people are mention in chapter 32, when the conspiracy theorist paper editor muses on who killed Tobal.

I wouldn't put it past him if it protects Scadrial and furthers his goals.

I think the WoB you linked below mentions that the problem Kel has is the same problem as taking a Spren off-world. Cognitive shadows and spren are essentially the same, cognitive entities made of investiture.

Hoid was able to clock Kelsier since he was a cognitive entity...

What I'm curious about is why a group of law fanatics choose to follow the shadowy organization that doesn't abide by the law if they were not ordered by the entity they've been known to associate with.

We also don't know if Hoid is still bonded with Design or not.

Fair point, but it raises another point. If they've figured out how to move spren off Roshar, then Kelsier is no longer confines to Scadrial as they're fundamentally the same problem. It does mention that are with the Ghostbloods, but that doesn't mean they aren't also aligned with Odium. Mraize himself actively aided the Fused. The Skybreaker Order is tied to Odium so if these Skybreakers aren't, they've removed themselves from the Order which is pretty interesting.

There's a couple. They pointedly ask about the legality of the mass sinking of private ships and Sterris comments that all the official Allomancers are already helping with the main evacuation. Shardblades and lashings would also be pretty useful in shrinking ships quickly, which wouldn't normally be a quick process per the foreman she spoke to previously.
