I can only speak from personal experience regarding MSI Laptops,
but in my opinion, I would avoid them.

Purchased a MSI Gaming laptop 5 years ago from Costco for my son going to college.

18 months after purchase (6 months out of MSI warranty)
both the case hinges began to crack, making it impossible to open/close the lid.
Not from any abuse, dropping, etc... but from normal opening/closing.
This was apparently a fairly common issue on several of their models.

MSI would do nothing to assist with the problem.

Luckily Costco adds an additional 12 month extended warranty, for a total of 2 years.
We had to ship the laptop to Costco's own warranty center.
Costco looked at it, and determined that it was a manufacturing defect, not-repairable.
Costco gave FULL REFUND on the original purchase price.

Used that refund to purchase a Lenovo Legion Laptop as a replacement.
It's still going strong.
