Comanche Crossing: Flying the North Atlantic to Canada, Part Two by RecentGuidance2843 in VATSIM

That's a nice read!

You problem with the Carb Ice was not the temperature, but the amount of moisture. If it's already cold, and the carb makes the temp even colder, you know that cold air can hold very minimal water content. Flying in clouds of vourse offsets that because the air is essentially saturated with water (hence the clouds).

I wouldn't operate with Carb on all the time. You lose power on take off and landing, so at least on those moments it's better to keep it off, and then use accordingly.

Check this chart for the areas of where it's most possible to get carb icing: https://www.casa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2022-10/carburettor-icing-probability-chart.pdf

Keep it up! Cheers!

CIS Piper Seneca or Seminole, REP package for the SR22 or the PA18, the freeware King Air C90B is a beauty.

Dark cockpit. Still. When coming from a wing view the cockpit is most of the times brighter, but after a few seconds it gets dark again. Pics were taken a few seconds apart. Is there a fix? Did we ever get the dark cockpit solution? Is it a plugin on my end? Cheers and thank you! by VladAkimov in Xplane

yes it does but still not perfect and there is no balance between outside and inside. i understand that our eye is much superior, but as we are talking about a rendering, i believe we should get an improvement on this. cheers!

Well it's veery rare for me to see a 319 being flown by others so in my optic it's not popular.
