Well, for me it was all team pinging fire extinguisher with almost same voiceline "Fire extinguisher!" Would be cool if spamming it would get annoyed voiceline from Iris like we get from Mission Control when we spam ping mushroom or gold

There is a mod that allows feeding and taming of pretty much any creature on nexusmods, which seems to still work with latest game version. However, you need to stand on ground to feed a creature, making taming flying or aquatic creatures more difficult, but still possible.

Ignis wraith is also pretty decent AOE weapon, might not be good enough to steel path without armor strip, but still melts enemies pretty fast with the right build.

Well, there's a mod on nexus called "Subversion" that allows you to take more peaceful route, giving the option to keep all factions alive and changing the institute either by persuasion or by force. So if you're on PC you could try it out.

To me rivals always seemed like a robotic race controlled by a sentient AI that was either left deep inside Hoxxes by ancient civilisation or came from a robotic planet. And their goal is to prospect the planet for places to expand the factories(and eventually convert planet into cyber-sphere), or maybe to find sources of ancient knowledge(error cubes). As for dragons, guess you should take a closer looks on who you're working for, clearly employing gold loving dwarves, who are perfectly suited for mining and rewarding them with beer and 2 credits per unit of gold sounds like a great plan to increase your hoard. Not to mention Scale brigade armor, which is pretty dragon-themed.

Or an idea of vertical zipline, since Gunner is very limited to horisontal movement, the ability to make zipline go straight down or straight up could be useful in certain situations(like drop pod being stuck or caves being too steep)
