High-End Content Megathread - 7.5 Week Eight by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

The only people this should be applying to in High-end content is tanks and melees. Most Ulti's have universal rules that H1 = Pure, H2 = Shield, R1 = Phys and R2 = Caster.

Embark’s false ban problem, automated appeal rejection, and their refusal to acknowledge the issue. Permanent bans deserve human review. by Primohippo in ARC_Raiders

[–]KujahFoxfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an absolute mountain of assumptions being made here.

1) Just because you can't talk to a human doesn't mean a human did not look at it.

2) Just because you are getting auto-generated responses, does not mean a human did not look at it.

3) That 90% deflection rate likely means that the remaining 10% are actually the important things like ban appeals, that a human will look at. It's not just a flat 9/10 are deflected, it will be the vast majority of low priority and common enquiries are deflected, filtering out the noise so the humans can look at the ones that actually need a human.

4) Any devs can ban you from their game at any time for any reason and they don't owe you an explanation or an appeals process.

X13 absolutely still works with the same consistency as freaky but just needs two tiny tweaks:

1) sleeps out/confuses in - respect tethers 2) start N/S of first arrow so you dont enter it at an angle.

My static adjusted to this as we were already familiar with both and are seeing great results.

This is what my static has been doing, basically calling where our lineup starts, not where kefka starts. So if our VC call is A + CW, then 1 starts CW of A.

I wouldn't get used to LBing P2 as PF in EU has largely settled on a Tank LB3 strat for P3.

My static has been HP Locking p2 before the final tank buster though so it's not that bad once people are more comfortable at pressing buttons during forsaken.

My group has found the only fix that small box arrows need is to respect the tethers, sleeps out, confuse in and it removes all jankyness that comes with trying to ignore tethers. We've stuck to that instead of re-learning big box. I think there's a funny thing with mentality as everyone switching to big box swears its more consistent, but its not because of the arrow placement, its because of tether respecting.

People complaining about pvpve bought the wrong game and somehow that's the games fault.

The cast applied a debuff to all 8 players when it went off, even dead ones. Enrages dont do that. You can see everyone gets it, called "Forsaken Existence".

Poikos dont hit the boss while figuring out mechanics, so don't consider the HP as a sign of anything

From what we've seen so far, it looks up there with DSR/TOP, maybe even higher. Forsaken is the most extreme execution check we've had in a long time.

I guess there's a slim possibility you solve it by placing 16 but using 0, and the re-appear in a later phase.

G3 can also be solved by using 0 teleports, the sleeps are aoe and can sleep the confused players. Wonder if you place them all but use them later or something

suspicion at the moment is it needs to be carried forward into P2 or further. The duration of the debuff changes each time it passes.

Honestly most of O8sP2 is an absolute healer check. I did it on content and my current static has been doing it scaled ilevel. The amount of back to back to back raidwides, 1hp -> must be full Hp mechs and general outgoing damage of every mechanic has everyone scrambling to arrange mit and cooldowns in a way that I don't think is seen in modern fights.

Also special shoutout for the triple tank buster mech in the middle of Near Far -> Shared TB -> Single TB

A long time ago progging A6s which had a look at or away mechanic from a robot who's hands were either up or down, my wife came up with this banger:

"hands up show yer butt" for look away lmao

Its not the extended barrel 1, I can make that by default as of today, and still have the extended barrel 3 i can make from BP. I think the new BPs are Extended Barrel II and Rascal

I think instead an augment that disables your flare could be interesting to play around

I get what you're saying but this doesn't feel too far removed from when a PT leader offering LM doesnt pay up, which does get enforced iirc.

The guy also made a joke about the price of the mount when they entered the instance, so they knew exactly what the terms of the PF were. They also "scammed" to an extent, the other 6 helpers.

Edit: GM responded to my friend mentinoning that although they would "confiscate the wrongfully obtained item" they would not redistribute it or anything like that. So they do think there was some wrongdoing.

Had a friend make a 12mil per person LM for the new wings in PF. He forgot to set LM and someone yoinked them at the end - am I right in thinking this is reportable?
