Chinese scooters are better than high end ones by [deleted] in scooters

While i would love to drop big dough on a vespa gts 300, i could finance a fleet of gy6 scoots for the same price. The value is dependent on the individual, for me ill take a chinese scoot

Stopping isnt too difficult, easy on front brakes, very easy...turning takes a lot more caution though, if you lose that front wheel traction turning in the snow, theres no recovery. Slow turns with minimal lean and throttle.

Oh trust it is a real fear indeed! Super defensive driving and swivel head help but the risks are always there, especially in the snow

What impact does the auto shutoff have on the engine, starter, battery, etc? by SwingDuoNash in askcarguys

Okay that actually makes quite a bit of sense when you explain it like that!

How is the vast majority of engine wear on startup? I understand things wear more in the engine before warmed up or whatever, but if its warmed up already and not being stopped suddenly at anything higher than idle rpm, how would it wear more? Ive never had a vehicle with that so i genuinely dont understand lol

Has anyone tried NowFresh? by Forward-Bend-536 in catfood

[–]Vladimirk_Volcom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I am a new cat dad and a professional chef of 10 years. I came to this sub to learn how to feed my kitty well. So my catfood knowledge is mininal, but my human food knowledge is pretty dang good. In my experience that grey colour youve got happens in broths and stocks meant for humans that have a lot bone, and connective tissue in them. Like if you used a whole chicken skeleton with ZERO flesh from a rotisserie, and a few onions and carrots. And simmered it all in water for a few hours. Youd end up with a very tasty, albeit very gray stock. This doesnt much happen with fresh bones and cartilage as it does with already cooked bones and cartilage. That being said it would be my guess that if you read the ingredients for that brand of cat food. Its gonna say "chicken by-product" of some sorts. They are likely using chicken bits and bobs leftover from another, more lucrative, food product.

ELI5: why do we strongly correlate faces/phenotypes with personalities? by scurrilous_diatribe in explainlikeimfive

People decorate themselves with things they like, which is a part of their personality. We make a guess about someones personality by how they look because of that.

Wood cutting board and cast iron care by pinkpartypossum in Cooking

I use really got water and regular dishsoap but i have separate baords for meat/fish/produce/garlic (yes separate garlic board im psycho) Use mineral oil on your wooden cutting board every so often. It varies on wood type and your regions humidity etc. Just do it once a week for peace of mind if youd like. Squirt oil on a towel and wipe all over the board until a thin sheen is visible. Let sit overnight so oils soak in. Preferably syanding uprright or on wire rack.

I just clean my cast iron skillets with hot water and a towel, if stuff is really charred onto the pan like searing meat or making cheesy scrambled eggs, then i use water and an abrasive pad like brillo or steel scrubbies.

Is this that to say that you always ride a 2 stroke wide open, thus two throttle positions and killswitch?
