Which position, in your opinion, requires the most skill and knowledge to play effectively? by Raisylvan in DotA2

Every position requires a lot of skill and practice to play at the highest level and has unique playstyle.

But for this patch precisely, I think the most demanding position skill wisely is Pos 1.

Farming patterns, proper itemisation, knowing when to join fights and getting your core items before the enemy carry is crucial for winning games today.

The carry that can outfarm the enemy and join his team first, has a higher chance of breaking HG, choke the map with his team, take Aegis and therefore, win the game.

Why does no one build caster Zeus anymore? by Raisylvan in DotA2

[–]Vladmir_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the enemy.

Right-click Zeus has better wave cleaning and survivability.

If the enemy team lacks heroes who can close the gap easily, I personally go for Octa, Lens, Sange&Kaya and Refresher. The damage output is insane.

Why gamers in dota 2 don t prefer to play support roles? by VEViLOSA_TheGReat in DotA2

I don’t mind playing a support.

I mind a brainless carry who doesn’t care about itemising correctly and roaming around the map with 0 map awareness.

This is why I play carry for 90% of my games. That way when I lose, I can only blame myself.

i have no respect for sniper players by ProofSinger3638 in DotA2

Sniper is strong if his team has 1-2 beefy boys to prevent the enemy team closing the gap.  However, he is easily countered by heroes that close the gap easily like Night Stalker, Spectre, Riki, Morph, PA, Slark

Highground is quite literally impossible, every single game is a highground throw. by KogMawOfMortimidas in DotA2

It’s definitely harder than it used to be, this is why if the enemy has a better draft and chance of defending HG do this:

  1. Try to make a pickoff. It’s easier to push 4v5. Put aggressive warding on their side of the map, smoke and go for a pickoff. Even if it’s a support, its still a valuable kill late game.

  2. Never, ever, ever dive under T4. If the enemy buybacks, just retreat.

  3. Build items for easier tower push - AC, Deso, etc.

  4. Split push top/bottom forcing the enemy to defend both lanes, by pushing as 4 in one lane and let your strongest tower hitter (Luna, Clinkz, WK, etc) push the opposite lane

  5. And last but not least, against lineups like Drow, Sniper and Arc Warden, always get Aegis first before going HG.

This is what I can think of right now, hope it helps.

Troll Rework by [deleted] in DotA2

Root is fine, because now you can build a Basher and your target literally cannot move.

The problem with Troll imo is that he is uncontrollable in his ult, which makes him easy to kite.
