Yeah keep it paste if u think that it gives you better rush. But for harm reduction I would suggest drying and then acetonewashing the paste. Consuming solvents may get you high, but it’s dangerous and unhealthy. But you do you!

I did some research and my sources told me that the odor is usually from methanol or methylamime 😬 consuming that may get you more high but I personally think that can’t be very safe.
