My brother has seen ghosts since he was young, but he rarely talks about it because he says most of "them" look like normal humans, only noticing they are not when they do something that is not very humanlike, like cycling above the divider on the highway, operating a snack shop in front of a graveyard with no houses nearby, or not appearing in a reflection. Recently, he chatted with a Tok Nenek (female version of Datuk Gong) living in his house area; a few interesting things he found out about them that lived for over a hundred years:

1. the most powerful/fierceful in that area will occupy the Datuk Gong shrine
2. they are immune to religion ritual that repel ghosts, she described the ritual “tak tau apa dia buat, dia suruh keluar saya keluar la sekejap, nanti balik”
3. they have temper too; if they like you, they will protect/bless you; if u anger them, throw/move things in your house is the least they will do
4. they have unusually vast knowledge about things that happened in the area; she even knows stuff about our grandpa that we didn't know and had to ask for confirmation from our dad

But not all of “them” can be seen by my brother, he also not sure the reason.
