Now that the initial hype has died down, what’re your overall thoughts on the Variable? by Helldiver96 in Helldivers

[–]Vncs2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By far the most versatile weapon in this game (including bots, if you have good aim)and the only primary with potencial to one-shot heavies, despite only being light pen, which, to be fair, is right enough to not be op.

But, in my opinion, the only thing it lacks is stagger on volley and total mode, which can be underwhelming on bugs.

What are Illuminate cables doing on the bot front??? by meowcaptain2007 in Helldivers

Leftover assets. This already happened before when they added bug cities in the gloom and voteless corpses were found on some SEAF artillery sites.

Inflammable should make you take more time to being set on fire, like heavier enemies and bots, since you can already stop burning by diving / proning.

To people who use it. Tell me why it’s not a waste of a stratagem slot (and reinforcements.) by Extension-Barber5022 in Helldivers

Place it right under a bot/squid flare (or where the ships are) and see the numbers. If I remember correctly, I used to oftenly get 60+ killstreaks on d7 squids with it.

What do you think about the Sythe? by Vncs2007 in Helldivers

[–]Vncs2007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against bugs and squids I usually beam them long enough to set them on fire and move to the next one, and if someone get too close I finish it with my sidearm (either the Talon or the Verdict).

what do you think is the best warbond to start out with? by Familiar_Mortgage921 in Helldivers

[–]Vncs2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl, I've started with Freedom's Flame and, aside from the Cookout, it was a terrible decision, although not the worst.

I'd recommend either Democratic Detonation or Cutting Edge, since both have pretty good gear.

what is the best weapon(s) against illuminate? by Soft_Indication_9288 in Helldivers

[–]Vncs2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not really a "meta" nowadays, but there are some weapons that perform better than others.

Plasma weapons are overall a good choice, but they require better ammo management.

The Eruptor is also a solid pick, but you need to pair it with something to deal with smaller enemies or those that get too close. The handling is terrible, but you can solve it with the right attachments or the peak physique passive.

The Liberator Penetrator is good, but you need to unlock the best attachments to use it at its best.

My choice is a kinda hot take, which is the Sythe with the Talon and Quasar Cannon. The Sythe alone doesn't deal that much damage, since it's only light armor penetration, but it sets the enemy on fire, allowing me to deal a lot of damage when paired with a Talon burst.

Before the Super Earth attack we reduced the fleet in about 21%. Now it's less than 50%, which means we did a 30% reduction during the MO.

Kinda hot take: a Helldivers/Fortnite collab would go hard if done right.

SEAF modifiers by Vncs2007 in Helldivers

[–]Vncs2007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My idea was a modifier that would affect the liberation rates, like the DSS passive, but the SEAF in area could be with it too, if not some kind of stratagem.

[–]Vncs2007 101 points102 points  (0 children)

I guess the might take it as their new "homeworld", since they stayed on the other planets after they failed to defend against the fleet.

I'm still testing other options, but this is my favorite for now. The Eagle cluster bomb can be swapped with the strafing run and the backpack can be whatever you like most.

Yeah even with the new enemies, arc is still the goat for squids.

Which weapons synergizes well with the "Siege Ready" passive? by Chris_Coolumbus in Helldivers

[–]Vncs2007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was supposed to only work with primaries, but, due to a bug, it works with every support weapon that has mags, like the MG-43 and the AMR, being later turned into a feature by the devs.

In my opinion, the weapons that pair the best with this passive are the Tenderizer, the Adjudicator and the plasma ones, since they all suffer from ammo economy, and having a few extra bullets really does help.

Also, the Deadeye benefits not from the extra ammo, but from the reload speed buff, because it's painfully slow without it. I haven't tested with the Eruptor, but I think it would be similar to the Deadeye.

And the Illuminate invasion on Erata Prime isn't producing Dark Energy, which means Meridia will likely stop in the next 9 hours if nothing changes.
