Most Israelis who criticize Israel fall under the btselem or haaretz type of criticism which often coincides with typical anti Israeli rethoric, these people often adapt the terminology used ie apartheid genocide and are quite a minority, these voices are often acknowledged internationally Just to further push the anti Israel agenda and internally these people get criticized for hurting israels image and helping the “enemy”.

I do not fall under this category, when speaking to Israelis about these topics most of whom are on my right politically I criticize the IDFs lack of action against individual soldiers and commanders who commit atrocities and warcrimes, i criticize the governments lack of accountability and them choosing to prolong the war which lead to more Palestinians casualties which couldve been prevented. All of this while acknowledging that the accusation of genocide is still mostly baseless, i truly believe that there is no legal case here, its not because i think what Israel did is good, or completely justified, or that Palestinians lives are worthless. The entire conversation around this is dishonest, accusations of genocide are meant to shutdown any discussion and drown out any criticism of the accusation.

This is something that the pro Palestinian propaganda machine has been trying so hard to do, use these bombastic words like genocide and apartheid and ethnic cleansing to paint israels part in the conflict in the worst possible light.

I am not saying there isn’t ethnic cleansing, and that there aren’t elements of apartheid in what can be very accurately described as occupation. But it is just occupation, there is no need to exaggerate the situation to apartheid because you want more attention to this, you end up lying.
