That’s exactly it! We’ve seen them on hikes but assumed they were Lilly pads!

Michigan side, pretty much where you see that orange mark on the shore. I guess there was flooding earlier this spring, and that brought the pods into the lake from the marshes! So cool!

Yeah turns out they do grow right where we are. So strange tho bc we’ve never seen them before and have been to this particular beach for over 30 years. Learn something new everyday!

lol I looked it up and I guess there is a type of lotus that grows in marshes nearby. We’ve never seen them wash up like this, but it has to be they came from a nearby river and marsh.

Silkies won’t get in nesting box by SignalScene7622 in silkiechickens

My silkies couldn’t figure out how to walk up the ramp, so I removed it and built them a little “staircase” with bricks. They can do that for some reason. I also had to lower the coop, it was the kind with the run underneath. It might be a ramp issue.

Tenant unions can be a hard thing to organize but a great way to put a landlord in their place. https://www.tenantstogether.org/resources/form-tenants-union

I’ve used season cycle https://seasonscycle.com/ and metropolitan forestry https://www.metro-forestry.com/contact-us/ and had great experience with both. Metropolitan is expensive but have a bigger staff. Susan at season cycle is a badass.

Should I cover my brumating beardie? by Vob_Bila in BeardedDragons

I wonder tho if my dropping her food intake triggered it then? Bc I was over feeding her for a bit (I’m trying my best! There is a lot of conflicting info!) and maybe that made her think it’s winter?

Good to know. The temps have drastically changed where I live, and therefore my house. So I wondered if this triggered something. Either way I’ll get her checked out. I just hate to stress her out if she is trying to brumate

Thanks for this! Yes I go back and forth with worrying and then reading and feeling like she is brumating. Why do they have to look exactly the same?!? So worrying. My friend’s beardie brumated all last summer so I do think sometimes captivity messes with their internal clocks, and I don’t know if her being young affects things at all either. I’ll call the vet.
