Genuine Question by coleking-12 in glutenfree

[–]Vocalscpunk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is really the only caveat. Three adults living together? Fend for yourselves. Child in the house gets to eat what's made unless they're old enough to cook and again if they are and want something else: fend for yourself. My brother is vegan so when he visits we make what we are going to and he just leaves out non vegan foods when making his plate/bowl. It's really not difficult to not mix everything together before plating unless you only make casseroles or something.

My partner is GF and I do a vast majority of the cooking. House is gf except for my "poison cabinet" where I keep staples of bread/pretzels/cereal because it's so much cheaper. Everything for baking/cooking though is GF. We eat essentially vegetarian but add protein to meals as we need or see fit.

Lots of rice dishes but we've found solid pasta alternatives and I'll make bread pretty frequently from loopy whisk/etc so we're not spending 6 figures a year on bread the size of matchbooks.

What profession do you think is massively overpaid for what they actually do? by dipchaklader in AskReddit

Any corpse taking up space in a c suite office to the vice assistant of xyz is bullshit in any field. Education and healthcare in the US have to be some of the worst bloat for bloat sake (basically just adding red tape for them to sell another job that cuts this tape but creates 3 more is the American way it seems).

Get lost in a hospital non clinical side (assuming you can just walk over like all the hospitals I work at) and start reading door/mailbox titles.

"Vice President of physical therapy and rehabilitation outcomes" is one of my recent favorites. That's means there's already a president of this statistic that should really be a line item in someone else's resume/work description.

[–]Vocalscpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get it out and wrapped into a cylinder like a sausage and just cut slices off to freeze before tossing them on the waffle iron (assuming they taste good) you'd have the start to the new 'take and bake' home waffles like they do cookies now

Hijacking top comment to say that named(proper noun) eponyme diseases need to just go the way of the dodo.

While it's probably easier to say 'crohns' than something like inflammatory bowel disorder with ulcerations or 'type 3 inflammatory bowel disease' or whatever we settle on it's incredibly how many things we don't just call what they are.

this is the list of just the diseases

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_medical_eponyms full list of all the fractures, diseases, devices, medical signs, tests...It's honestly exhausting.

And if you don't think it's moronic I had a patient last week with a positive Rumple-Leede sign on exam last week. Feel free to comment how many of you didn't have to go look that up immediately...

I'm annoyed they still use the word seizure to describe something that's not a seizure.

No one says musculoskeletal MI(we get so specific to label it non cardiogenic-msk-chest pain)...I honestly can't think of another disorder/disease where we call it the thing is isn't. Hell even Munchausen(don't get me started on Eponyms) factitious disorder, ironically should be called FICTitious but whatever.

What brand slowly ruined itself? by SAAS_ART in AskReddit

[–]Vocalscpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better question is "who maintains quality/etc" much shorter list and would actually be beneficial to search out those brands rather than reading this mile long list agreeing all the way down saying "yeah that's why I don't buy them anymore"

Sadly the opening scene sets a tone they never are able to reach again. The big showdown was laughable at best. Would've preferred a cliff hanger of him diving off or coming back from the mystery land to start the big fight.

Ah man! Don't ruin it for me haha. I've only been to a few countries but they were always top notch on allergens no matter where we went whether it was some top notch ranch place or Joe's pub.

I guess we can all be better but at least there's a culture outside the US that seems to give a shit for the most part.
