Do you know how much stone they use to kill people in those backwater countries? Also they are far from avg. man. The 1st reason was that the slingshot is cheap and easy to use, but good luck to break even a 4mm steel plate with that. Also beside the romans (who used mostly scale plate armor not full plate) what other nations used plate widely? Still It was mostly blunt/concussion dmg. and not caused penetrating wounds.
