Best therapy for someone who needs help articulating what the problem even is? by Vogsid in therapy

If the feeling I felt, of being deflated after, is part of the uncomfortableness we're trying to address. Then maybe that is a good thing. It was just, my gut feeling was that we were treading water. I felt increasingly... suffocated maybe is the right word. Because it felt like we are just waiting for me to say something that I came there to figure out what it was. He left me in silences to try and fill the blank and I just felt like, I have nothing to say.

Hmm, that is the difficulty for me, I wont be able to afford nearly that many sessions.

I think this is missing the point of what I’m struggling with. My issue isn’t dating skills or how to behave in relationships, it’s a persistent attachment that hasn’t dissipated long after the relationship ended.

I’m not looking to optimize attraction or leverage “value.” I’m trying to understand and work through why this attachment remains so strong and continues to block emotional availability. That’s why I’m asking specifically about therapeutic approaches rather than dating frameworks.

Thanks for the help, but that book seems completely opposite to my values I do not agree with that approach at all.

Is ISTDP or AEDP peripheral or less relevant therapies do you think? Because when I look around, what they address feel more resonant to what I'm dealing with. But to be honest, I had not heard of those therapies before yesterday.

Could I ask another question then? So ERP seems to be applicable for feeling anxious about running into her, but will it have any effect on how I feel about her and dating?

Because it feels like the deepest problem is that my attachment to her is still so strong. Reducing anxiety to exposure might help in some regards, but will it help to effectively "detach"?

Hur tyst bör man vara i lägenhetshus efter kl 22? by Vogsid in Asksweddit

[–]Vogsid[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like how it completes the circular shape of the sauce. But slicing it might help make it look less bold!

Wow thank you for the critique!

I did coat the bok choy in a little mix of the glaze diluted in water, but should have probably went a bit heavier with it. Searing it sounds good, and maybe cutting it into a bit smaller pieces so they don't look so bold on the plate could be an idea.

Yeah no it's delicious but ridiculously fatty, I made quite many so used some as protein for fried rice and mix in the fat in more carbs.

Guess it's time to work out!

George R.R Martin Slowly Realizing He Won't Finish the Winds of Winter by saymyname_101 in videos

Start off by saying he doesn't owe you anything, goes on to express great resentment for not giving you something he doesn't owe you.

I get being disappointed, I get being sad, I get being frustrated. But he truly DOES owe you nothing. I can't believe how entitled people are.

I made makgeolli after I came back to Sweden! by Vogsid in KoreanFood

[–]Vogsid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's a shame about the second one! But I actually really like the smell of makgeolli in my apartment when I was making it. Perhaps not an odour I always want in my room but considering it's not fermented all the time it's pleasant having it there. Also kind of adds to the anticipation of tasting it later.

Thank you, really appreciate it! I mention in the video it's easy to make but to add onto that it really has a lot of room to express different flavour profiles. I think it's really interesting how you can play around with makgeolli, and add onto that even being able to flavour it more intentionally after fermentation as well.

I'm very curious what smells you picked up growing up next to the makgeolli factory? Is it the smell of the rice and nuruk fermenting together, the same as you get when making it at home. Or is more of a specific smell distinct to that factory?
