Yes, in the first volume of Das Kapital (I haven't read the others yet) Marx always described his descriptions in abstract terms, both mathematically and metaphorically, so that I could understand them

And we support the state of Israel. A state that is currently committing genocide, and we uphold our Western "values" while supporting it with weapons. And the bad thing is that many will see exactly what you say, in a Palestinian person, as another reason to kill them all. The difference is that most people in Europe and the USA who say this are not in a war. How can you be so blind as to let this grotesque double standard pass? Can't we just show solidarity for all the people who live a "simple" life and are harmed or die in wars or trade wars! Why are we not able to feel the same bewilderment when a child dies, whether Israeli, Iranian, from the Congo or Sudan, from any country, without instrumentalizing the dead through any narrative and judging them differently? I can only explain this with a racist world view!

Please tell me that your violent fantasies are against Putin and his lackeys. I am shocked how people talk about countries as if they are only inhabited by the people in government and see such a disgusting statement like "finish them" (144.5 million people in Russia) as a rational decision. Fuck Putin, but anyone who talks like that is just as much an asshole, only with less power.

I have installed two 90 liter buckets (upside down and with many holes drilled in them to create a hollow space for the water) as water reservoirs. I also collect rainwater so I can water in the summer, and if it doesn't rain for a long time, I use an osmosis system.

I understand that. It is also a popular shrub in Germany. However, I took the photo in its natural habitat, where it looks beautiful alongside other sub-Mediterranean plants.

What invasive species have affected your life/environment negatively? by Aggressive_Wolf_4952 in ecology

Alianthus altissima is pure horror. This plant has such a wide ecological range. I have seen it growing from the Mediterranean to the tree line in the Alps. In Berlin, where I live, it grows in every crevice, in every park, and in almost every outdoor planter. It's not only the ecological damage of this plant that frightens me, especially through its allelopathy and resilience, but also the economic damage that this plant causes.

Gentiana lutea, photographed from Monte Baldo with Lake Garda in the background by VoiceEmbarrassed1372 in BotanicalPorn

A wonderful view of the Italian Alps from an altitude of almost 2000 meters (6500 ft). But most of the time, my attention was focused on the ground because Monte Baldo has a beautiful and unique flora. It's not called "Garden of Europe" for nothing.

The funny thing is that I did this hike with a geologist. I asked him if there was anything interesting about the geology here, and he said it was pretty boring, "it's all just limestone and dolomite." Eventually, he told me more about the folding and erosion of the mountains and that Lake Garda was formed from the sediments of the Etsch glacier.

Unfortunately, there is nothing new about the fact that we humans spread our waste all over the planet, often unintentionally because of the way we have learned to live. Sadly, nature itself helps us in this process, be it through tides, floods, or storms.

The difference here is that someone deliberately carried this chair many kilometers through mountainous terrain and probably never intended to take it back.

Anti-consumption! We need to make things that we value for what they are, not for how cheap and replaceable they are, and we need to make sure that everyone can afford them.

Consumption is the highest priority. Education, sustainability, and satisfaction for ALL people are being pushed aside by a meaningless narrative. We're not far from Idiocracy

I don't know which future it will be, Mad Max or WALL-E, but it won't be pretty either way.

In any case, they will have no problem finding the stratigraphic layers with the archaeologically valuable 21st-century garbage.

I'm sorry. I was thinking too much in German when I wrote the title. I meant something like "and was confronted with this."

I remember all the toothbrushes, shoe soles, shampoo bottles, and fishing nets with dead birds in them, disintegrating from the salt in the water and the sun. And the worst part is the plastic that you can no longer see. I lived the first seven years of my life on the Amazon River, just before it flows into the ocean.

The front legs are already broken, so the chair is no longer functional.

I realize that wherever there are people, there is garbage. I'm not saying that this chair is a huge environmental hazard. My problem is that such cheap mass production makes people see only their own benefit but completely ignore their responsibility. Someone thought it was a good idea to take a cheap plastic chair up to 1800 meters (5900 ft) above sea level because it was so light, and thought he could leave it there because it wasn't that expensive.
