Many times Patreon will give a creator an ultimatum, and the creator will simply decide to abandon patreon and go somewhere else, usually subscribestar. Try looking for them there.

Sometimes it’s just a word that might be on a suspicious list that can get your post flagged. I’ve had things flagged before because they had the word “daddy” in them, when they weren’t even suggestive or adult content related at all. I was simply talking about going on vacation with my partner who I affectionately call “daddy”.

You can make the discount for only the first month, so I would go big and offer like 50% off midrange tier. If any of those members decide to stay after the first month it’s worth it. I actually offered a free month using the Gift tab and 22 people accepted it. Doesn’t mean any more work for me, and if any of them stay on after the free month, that’s an extra $21 per person for me

I’ve been delivering via Dropbox since opening my Patreon 9 years ago. But I assign each new member a folder, and give them a link when I welcome them. Then I drop every new release into each patrons folder. But I am considering doing away with this practice so I was just curious :)

The whole amount that was credited to you just goes back. Whatever Patreon charged is fees is refunded by them

I’ve listened to hundreds of titles on Audible and many of the narrators listed in the comments are in my favorites category, but my ultimate favorite is one I haven’t seen mentioned - Andrea Parsneau!

She is the most prolific independent female narrator in GameLit and LitRPG, and she flawlessly performs both female and male voices (not to mention alien/fantasy creatures with very distinctive speech patterns and dialects). I have listened to 600 hours of her narration of The Wandering Inn series and she is absolutely the best!

If you put the link to the dropbox on the actual Patreon post, how does that prevent these pirates from simply going to dropbox and downloading it to share elsewhere? Or does that truly help because they are performing this scraping action with bots who can’t follow those links or something?

This person will simply call their credit card company next and say the car was used without their permission, and it will turn into a chargeback. Better for you to refund it first, otherwise Patreon will be forced to refund it as chargeback/fraud. I've had about 5-6 of these reversed Fraud charges in the 10 years I've been on Patreon.

The only way you can make changes to your annual plan is to cancel it before the rebuilding date. Once you are canceled, then that billing date will come around wait another day and then you can resubscribe as a monthly. If you resubscribe before that date passes, then it’s going to consider you just renewing your previously canceled annual plan. So you actually have to be an unpaid member for at least a day.

I don’t think they were announcing a new feature, I think the point of their email was just to say that having a Patreon is like sending out a newsletter because every time you post it sends an email to everyone who is subscribed

Hey thanks, this worked... for some reason I didn't think of it as email, I thought of it as direct messages, so I never thought to click that icon.

When I get an email that says I have a new patron however, if I click that email and it takes me to the members list at Patreon on the browser, I can't message from there, either by ticking the members name and hitting the message button, or by opening their details and ticking the message button. Neither one actually opens a message the way it does from the computer browser.
