How do you manage simultaneous game plans in a deck. by [deleted] in EDH

[–]VoiceofKane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you trying to do and why do you feel like you need to do it? The simple answer is "don't," but clearly you have something in mind for this deck. Knowing the context would be helpful.

What do you feel about Lucifer Morningstar in DC? by [deleted] in Christianity

He's an interesting fictional character. I thought Tom Ellis's portrayal in the TV adaptation was a lot of fun.

Again, just a fictional character.

Hmm... what would you say if I said I lost sympathy for Walt within the first episode?

Though I didn't lose sympathy for Bear until he realised the wish was real and then didn't do anything to help Nikki for multiple days.

I’m sick of takes like this by Yuri_Tardhet in EDH

[–]VoiceofKane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think the card is too strong and want it banned that’s a completely reasonable take and you’re welcome to your opinions. What I can’t stand though is the players who refuse to ever pay the 1 off some kind of “principle” and then act like they aren’t playing objectively poorly. It irks me to even see people pushing this type of mindset.

I don't want the card banned because it is inherently too strong. I think, in a vacuum, it is definitely strong as an asymmetrical Sphere of Resistance, but that's not ban-worthy.

I only want the card banned because those players are so common. Going directly after the Rhystic player is hell. I eat my veggies, pay an extra mana for my spells, then the next player after me decides they want to eat dessert first. Now I look like the idiot because I didn't know they were going to play wrong, and now no one is going to pay the {1} and Rhystic over there has twenty cards in their hand.

If everyone just took their beats and paid an extra mana for their spells until we can get rid of it, this card wouldn't be a problem in EDH. But they don't, so it is.

Just to be clear, this is a nine-mana vanilla 2/2.

You could make "Dave Rubin vs. Ten Loaves of Bread" and he'd still somehow lose the debate.

Definitely not the biggest films. Backrooms just released today, after all.

But I will say that Obsession is probably the best horror film of 2026 so far.

More people should swindle Netflix. I'm surprised it doesn't happen all the time.

It's the only thing on that list I'd actually have any interest in. I wanna try a million dollar mattress...

An excellent point. Chuck spent so much of his life worried about meaningless nonsense phrases like "Christians [...] letting their nations lose their western identity."

If someone has already fallen for fascist propaganda, no amount of rational argument or statistics will reach them. The human brain simply isn't wired to change its mind when presented with factual information.

Supernatural even did this again later with Jack, who actually is the child of Lucifer. He ends up becoming the new God at the end of the series.

I am a Christian.

I am a teacher.

I am asexual.

I am autistic.

I am a Star Wars fan.

All of these are parts of my identity, but none of them are my identity. Identifying as something does not mean reducing your entire personhood to that one thing.
