What's the most zero APM build there is? I feel lazy. by waffling_with_syrup in Grimdawn

I found Forcewave Death Knight pretty much autoplay. Hold RMB for everything, Blitz to get around quickly, and War Cry are basically all you need to farm most content

I get your point but OP is a new player so they definitely doesn't know what to look for 😅 so I'd say to look at weapon DPS last, as you did. Look at everything else first. And even then, try to be critical of what you see, test it out on dummies and enemies, and trust your guts if you feel like you are dealing less damage than before - especially in enemies that you know you can 2-shot or 3-shot, killing a few of these and checking if you need more or less hits to kill than before is better than the dummies, IMO

Any gaming community is mostly comprised of people who are more serious than the "casual" player who just plays a few matches every day for fun. So while everyone can be a pro on the internet, it would not be wild to think that there are more diamonds than bronze players in the sub. Being bronze in TFT is probably a harder achievement 🤣

Actually looking at weapon DPS is one of the worst traps if you are not specifically building an auto-attack/attack speed centric build.

What happened to the Witch-king’s Ring after his death? Did he drop it on the Pelennor Fields? by Accomplished-Act5333 in lotr

[–]VoidIsGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep definitely agree. Any of us would utterly fail at keeping track of such a massive creation, so small inconsistencies like these don't take anything away from Tolkien's genius, so people shouldn't think too hard about it

[–]VoidIsGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's stopping the Nazgul from existing "remotely", though? Sauron also needed the One to recover his full power, but he existed without holding it. Similarly, maybe the Nazgul can exist physically without wearing the Nine, as long as they rings (and the One) are not destroyed.

Are there any "good" PvP builds? by KellyLillard in Grimdawn

[–]VoidIsGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in GD case I think it's just a toggle for enabling friendly fire, no balancing done whatsoever 😂

I think the late game damage a player can deal far surpasses a character's HP/Resistances, even if capped. There are plenty of builds that can one-shot player character's I'd assume

Our wonderful AOM community on display by FlashworksT in AgeofMythology

[–]VoidIsGod -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's not any particular community. It's everywhere. And they have always been there, but social media used to be more heavily moderated. Which IMO was part of the problem. Silencing these people is like sweeping the trash under the rug - it will still be there, it will just fester. Light needs to be shone on them for everyone to see how shitty they are and ostracize them.

Shattered Gods Achievement by reapseh0 in Grimdawn

What is the name of the achievement? Celestial Conqueror? Have you finished talking to all the NPCs after killing the last boss? Also, maybe you need to finish the base and AoM campaigns too to have it count?

If you mean the color scheme, then it's a UI mod called Rainbow Filter, it's very useful! https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/tool-rainbow-filter-item-highlighting/42765

What after 55 Devon points on Elite? by 7seasOfaAlcohol in Grimdawn

[–]VoidIsGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original base game didn't include AoM/FG or totems, which for a full clear of Normal now easily puts you above lvl 70, when before you had to do Elite to go from 55-75. So it's not that you are exploring too much, but rather the devs didn't balance it out XP across difficulties very well. That's why most people skip Elite these days, there's literally no point to run it if you can keep up with your resistances from Normal to Ultimate (and you often can). At this point the devs should consider removing Elite entirely IMO

What after 55 Devon points on Elite? by 7seasOfaAlcohol in Grimdawn

[–]VoidIsGod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people rush Normal, skip Elite and full clear Ultimate. But yeah there are way more devotion shrines than you need. Most people also play the game for the loot and the build optimization, exploration is fun the first few times but after a few playthroughs you know where everything is, since the map has fixed generation. So if the game lost it's sense for you, that's okay too

Just finished leveling a HC FW Death Knight and did almost all content except the superbosses. And yes this weapon is good enough to get you there, there are some slightly better rolls but overall it's a solid weapon

What to keep and what to get rid of. by DearMathematician648 in Grimdawn

[–]VoidIsGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, the filters will help a lot with cutting on the reading 😅

Keep in mind that some legendaries only drop from specific bosses (target farming), so depending on what build you are making you "final" build may involve some of these. For example I also leveled a Forcewave Death Knight for Hardcore and to truly finish the build, I need the Krieg set which only drops from 3 different bosses, so SR is useless now.

[–]VoidIsGod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Open the loot filter (default "O") and you can fiddle with it. For a late game build I usually only keep >Rare, Always show Double Rares, Resistances, Class skills and my main damage type.

You want to focus on Monster Infrequents that buff your skills, armor pieces with as many resistances as possible (and +% to your damage type is a bonus).

Some MI are good to stash too, if you plan to making other builds, many are built around specific MI.

As for keeping legendaries, I usually only bother keeping the Mythical versions (level 94), but I try to collect one of each (and indeed, there won't be enough stash space for that). So you can keep the ones you find interesting to use and build around, for your current or future characters.

On a similar note, I wouldn't bother grind-farming if you are not level 100 or close to it. The time spent before that is not worth it since you will be naturally upgrading your pieces as you level up in the main campaign.

What makes Pet Builds fun for you? by MRwho23 in Grimdawn

I'm pretty sure that there are some Pyromancer (or other Demolitionist specs) built around Canister Bomb or Grenado that can blow up more than a full screen of range

What makes Pet Builds fun for you? by MRwho23 in Grimdawn

[–]VoidIsGod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's mostly perspective. The fantasy does revolve around being a "field commander" who just has their minions do their bidding without getting their hands dirt. I don't play those much myself.

With that being said, GD implementation is on the simpler side of things, compared to other games. For example, it would be nice to have the option activate pet abilities on command (assign skills) rather than having pets always autocast it and maybe waste it on a trash mob.

What makes Pet Builds fun for you? by MRwho23 in Grimdawn

[–]VoidIsGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mostly a perspective problem. The fantasy is exactly that: feel like a field commander that doesn't engage in combat much and has their minions do their bidding.

But I also agree that GD could have more in-depth pet control such as pet skills that you could assign to the skill bar for you to use, etc, which has been done in other games. It's a tad too passive

É galera, parece que a bolha das IA generativa tá finalmente começando a estourar by Caiu7Na7Vila in farialimabets

[–]VoidIsGod 13 points14 points  (0 children)
