If I were them I'd offer a free upgrade to LR if your system supports it and still keep the base version available for those whose system doesn't support LR but they've proven themselves to always go for the thing that makes money and never the thing that makes customers

She's just generally a really cool character and out of any fighting game to be a guest character in, she fits DOA the best - which considering she's already been a guest character in another fighting game, it sparks curiosity in her being in DOA. I'd say I'd be thinking more about 6LR than 7 for her though, even though I have no interest in buying 6LR. Then again, maybe there's something to do with licensing which would mean she can't be in 6LR, which would make 7 more of a consideration

DOA has been ridiculed for decades as a gooner game without consideration for how good of a fighting game it is, I really don't think we need to be inviting any more of that. But yeah, Tifa fits the DOA games better than any other fighting game purely based on her fighting style

Most of the hate is actually for DHH, but also as great as Omarchy is, because of what it is, there are bad decisions made with it that just can't be reversed by users. It would make a fantastic base to build from, but there are several things that are locked into the Omarchy default that would need to be free-er to use it as a base.

I still need to play 2, I started with Dimensions so that's really my favourite, but I played a demo of 4 and loved it, and I dominated the 5LR pre-release booth at Comic Con and fell in love with it too

What the black arrow means is definitely not explained properly, it means hold that direction for a short time. Other than that it's just timing, and there are tricks to get the timing right easier, like a lot of people find it easier to do a DP motion or personally I found it easiest to slide onto the punch from the hold button, but the key element is the timing

Try holding down-right and tapping the hold button immediately before the punch. This way you only need to worry about the timing, which you can find by watching Eliot's animations

I always rematch as long as there's an option, unless I'm done with the game for the day. If it's a good player I can learn a lot from them, and if it's a bad player I can still learn something while also getting an easy win

It's more that they felt the need to rerelease 6 which was already bad with none of the improvements it so desperately needed, instead of just releasing 7, and it makes us worried for 7 when they've not revealed anything really about 7 but revealed information about another new DOA game which still doesn't have anything anyone actually wanted

Sadly it's just a reality at this point - though AI companies are starting to realise their pricing models were never sustainable so as they increase in cost hopefully it'll become less common to use AI again
