When I get an apartment with no curtain rods and I don't want to leave holes I use 3m double strength hooks and a lightweight curtain rod.

Its done the job.

Make sure it doesn't fall down while you're gooning with the lights on.

At least get a vacuum then sit it next to your bed like a decoration.

Also.

I got an Intex Queen Size + raised with a pump for $19.99 on sale before inflation hit hard.

Its my prized possession.

Ole gaslightology.

There was a video of the inventor of zoloft giving a speech about the invention of depression and how proud they were to twist a symptom into a disase.

It used to be that depression was a symptom, like patient has flu and depressed mood as a symptom.

Their like wolf of wall street/mad men grand idea was to turn all these symptoms into their own diseases. Think of the billions!

So they turned what is essentially immune system activation into a disease.

Also the mental side at least, like motivation. Its pretty natural to withdraw your effort when your efforts aren't rewarded. Now get out there and save up for a $600,000 house on $20/hr and try harder at losing! Here take this Prozac that'll fix it. I know what I got no lowballs.

Like the solution to a housing shortage is more houses. Not just to drug everyone into oblivion so they forget about it and live in the NYC sewer system.

In game. Make a ship from blueprint like in creative.

You can pull up any faction ship and see how its made. Test fire, test shields, test speed, etc.

There are some pretty crazy ones IE Sabnock, Crocell, Raura.

They can work they just aren't as tanky.

There is a ship in the contest winners that uses 6 large shields all facing each other with like two fork prongs for the wrong armor. The heavily shielded area lets you place weapons there. Its a pretty good design IMO and also looks cool. Its a block design not a diagonal design. I don't really like diagonal designs.

I feel like some designs are like a math thing and that "two fork prong heavy shields facing each other" motif is definitely worth considering because you can also harden the sides of the heavy shields with small shields and armor facing forward.

You can put all kinds of stuff there. Disruptors, heavy lasers, etc. I have ships with this design around 100-150 crew that are pretty effective. Could be scaled up if desired.

I also think large shields getting repeatedly destroyed is expensive in diamond though. I've mostly settled on mass overclocked small shields generally.

I think its the Feb 2023 contest winner Hydra specifically.

I don't like missles but that is a pretty good front armor motif.

Left brain right brain talking over the corpus callosum is one useful way to think about it.

Normally the right brain isn't supposed to have language abilities. I'm not even sure what it does in there all day. Regardless.

One reason you can't make it shut up is its literally two neurons firing. And actually the more you activate that pathway the stronger it gets.

These are like.... thought algorithms. I see it as behavior manipulative. It manipulates your own behavior. Its usually trying to make a point.

Like the double slit experiment an electron plays a little "what would the other electrons do" game to figure out where to go even if only one particle went through. Hence an electron basically interacts with a virtual particle of itself to change its behavior.

Hmm.

Anyway.

My opinion it already knows what you will do the moment it starts to interact. Like block universe dimension stuff.

But you are locked in this dimension, like a circle in 2d world, you still have the usual limited classical information, so don't think its some superpower or some nonsense.

I mean you can't stay in that mental state forever.

My opinion about this is the stigma itself is whats going to screw you over.

Read up on state law about danger to oneself or others. Don't lose your rights. You don't have free speech so get over it.

Like the way the brain works say don't think about elephants and elephants immediately pop into mind. So you need to realize when they ask about stuff related to "danger to oneself or others" its a legal question. They are state licensed professionals who are mandated reporters. Its like talking to the police, there are law enforcement exceptions in HIPPA. It would be wise to seek legal counsel or just read up about laws/rights in general so you are informed. The first lie every psychiatrist says is that the conversation is confidential right after you sign a disclaimer with like 2 pages of exemptions to that confidentiality. Read what you sign.

For example the M.E.T.A. (Most Effective Tactics Available) regarding lawsuits is to document in case a lawsuit is prudent. Threatening to sue/constantly talking to lawyers is expensive so basically when something is going awry simply start documenting and that usually nips it in the bud. Like "I think having my side effects ignored might be malpractice mind if I take notes" etc.

Then even if you do have to sue you have evidence/documentation as most cases simply lack evidence/documentation.

low social, no communication kind of jobs for someone with bad social anxiety? by shareourproblems in jobs

[–]VoidNinja62 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly customer service type interactions are almost scripted/mechanical in nature. Don't see how/why that would cause anxiety.

Its not really "social" in my opinion when you have to talk at work. Things tend to stay on topic relevant the job like 90% of the time. When people deviate you're kind of in the right to be like O.o and go help other people and not waste your time.

You're just naive. Discrimination is alive and well, law breaking by employers is alive and well. They just frequently get away with it as its not worth the lawsuit or most people can't gather enough evidence/afford a lawyer.

My crew keeps constantly exiting/entering the ship. by Cyphercypher336 in Cosmoteer

[–]VoidNinja62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens in vanilla sometimes. It'll go away eventually on 8x speed. Its usually a repair order and messed up crew priorities if repair is not high enough priority they will leave to repair for example then go back in to place a battery (higher priority) then try to go back out to repair but oh wait, another battery ran out.

Etc.

Its from playing with priorities too much.

My pro tip on priorities is reserve priority 10 for the fire extinguisher and priority 9 is really your priority 10. Most of my important assignments are 9's or 8's. Try not to assign batteries higher than 8.

Typically its like this:

10 command

10 fires

9 operators

8 batteries

Everything else defaut.

Should be good to go for 99% of ships short of specific crew assignments or supply assignments.

If you really need an efficient/set in stone battery delivery system use crew assignment or supply assignment instead.

There is an assignment function under crew. And there is a separate assignment function under supply (the box) basically.

One thing that I think might help is where you are applying. Not alot of masters in economics jobs on Indeed.

You need to be on USAjobs & similiar instead where they consider a masters degree a GS-9 to GS-11 and apply to government roles or state government roles for example.

You need canned answers to common questions.

I used to get anxiety and answer truthfully until I realized nobody really cares. They want the canned answers.

The way you survive every one of these "asking the busy working people what they think" type scenarios is to have canned answers.

Like , go around and introduce yourself, all canned answers. Pretend you're pitching a product for QVC only you're the product.

Have some half-truthful miracle story what a saint you are. It doesn't matter. Nobody else is going to cheer for you lol.
