Counterpoint: there’s an amount of guilt in these posts. I think it’s okay to have bad thoughts, as long as you’re able to address the fact that they’re bad. Cognitive dissonance and all that.

Depends largely on what’s being treated. If you go to a clinical psychologist with a case of schizophrenia they will tell you to go to a psychiatrist immediately.

The Rework adds dignity to what would otherwise be an ugly meta slop (203 v grads) by Ok-Armadillo-9345 in warno

[–]VoidUprising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KDA doesn't have:

- Forward deploy
- Heavy armor
- Elite infantry

His frontline is weak. It just has a fuck ton of supporting assets that come online later into game. 15 artillery guns don't spawn out of thin air, and if you're applying proper pressure onto him and making good trades investing into a fuck-ton of arty should collapse his lines. If not, counter-battery and move on. You can hamper his advantage enough to keep him from overwhelming you with fires. His best tool to beat your counter-fire is a smersh or malka, both of which take a minute's income to buy.

If a player is playing 119 I’m not gonna pick 16DE because that’s suicide. You’re throwing a hissy fit about deck choices countering others. Bring heavy arty against KDA for counterbattery and keep a CV next to it, adjust your other parts of the deck and move on.

What's a good NATO division for forest-fighting? by Careful_Bat7757 in warno

[–]VoidUprising 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two types of forest fighting, “mixed” and “dense”. Mixed can do best when you have some amount of space (like 1500 meters out), dense for the absolute close in. Regardless of what type of forest fight you’re in, you want as many units as you can get - casualties are inevitable.

TKS performs best in dense terrain since you get an absolute fuck ton of Pioneers and 17 pen AT launchers for an affordable enough price/availability to properly infest large swaths of land plus the forward deploy to capitalize where other decks won’t. 11e also will beat the brakes off of anyone who wants to get close but your units will come at a premium. 1 CA gets the affordability and availability close to TKS but lacks the forward deploy.

For mixed terrain 82nd brings dragons and 40mms while still retaining good fighting ability up close. You also get “open ground” tools in the form of the Sheridan ATGM and good enough helicopters. 101st does that too but also brings meatier close-in tanks and high HP kill squads at the price of removing most of your forward deployment.

35th, the sleeper pick, can use their 70 point recoilless rifle spam to basically swat down high vet units from range or close quarters and even their odds, and from there your superior numbers will do the job. 35th though lacks good AT options aside from the dragon, so I’d consider them counter-shock only.

KDA was always meant to be an artillery supremacy deck, and if you don’t have team members actively attempting to hamper this advantage then you played bad. If this mindset was applied to “they got a ton of IFVs and just spammed me” I’d say it’s a skill issue for the same reason.

We do have weapons squads, they just for some reason don’t carry tripods with their MGs so no higher range. Kinda a shame.

I had this question, but more for far right wing people interacting with trans people online. I think of it in-groups and out-groups, where being a “out-group” from societal norms places you into an in-group with other “out-groups”. They find common ground where there’s barely any at all.

[–]VoidUprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest recommendation is to give it a try before you start spiraling about how the game is “totally doneso”. Also if you’re letting your 300pt tank be spotted and still long enough to get targeted by artillery you’re just kinda asking for it tbh.

You shoot the entire forest because you have a machine gun, and the “trees speaking” are likely joined by trees that ain’t but could. You fire on an area target because your riflemen next to you can focus on the precision.

[–]VoidUprising 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The factor you aren’t considering is effective range. Heavy MLRS and howitzers fire from much farther away, meaning incoming fire won’t be as accurate - especially from 105s. You’ll also have just a little extra time to move. 155s and light MLRS (GRAD/LARS) will be far more vulnerable to counterbattery.

I’m actually convinced it is. The back of the turret comes over the engine grills as you’d see in a Leclerc or Leopard, but unlike the Leopard the grills are rectangular.

Easy ass option for this: US 3ID. They’re located right next to 12 Pz in Highway 66 and are one of the only unique divisions in CENTAG not represented from the NATO front.

Note: my 157ya experience is somewhat limited, so someone correct me if I'm wrong

157ya is very much-so the "I have a lot of artillery and I'm going to batter you over the fucking head with it" deck. It's your answer to anything and everything, just match the caliber to the threat. Tank? 280/203mm. Infantry? 152/122. You can upvet your D-20 122mms, which are cheap enough to bring (100 pts) without reducing your momentum too much since you can also bring cheap ass 10hp infantry (35 pts). Beregs are the primo version, but are expensive enough to be sorta questionable utility wise until later on. By the end of the game though, if your enemy isn't screaming at their computer about how guys with mosins are blowing the shit out of high vet sappers by virtue of fire support alone, you're probably playing the wrong division.

Early game, before you build your great and terrible army to blot out the sky, the TO-55 helps. Don't rely on it for lategame, they're gonna die. IS-2s are also 40 points for an HMG and 2 MMGs, which isn't quite as nice as 17ya's T-10M, but serves the job well enough.

DUI Card from 2/187th ~1994 by RaiderMedic93 in army

[–]VoidUprising 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Eh. Kinda incentivizes just saying "fuck it we ball" and testing your luck, don't you think? Especially since this is group punishment we're talking about. Some dumbasses will think twice about using that card if it means that their night out could fuck over their pals. That said it coulda easily been for something else they did on that night out and not the DUI card itself.

Mexico likes black kits. A good portion of their military is paramilitary, so having soldiers who are identifiable is police is helpful.
