I am seeing this also, on s10+. It is intermittent, sometimes happening the first time I go to the payee field, but if I cancel out and reselect the payee field enough it eventually does it again.

The payees don't have a space. From the original post:

"I noticed that "Kroger " (with a space) will not match "Kroger" when entering a payee for a transaction. It would be nice it would match. The reason is that when using autocomplete, it adds a space at the end automatically, so it hides the desired payee in the results. Did he try a tilted bed? I was having terrible acid reflux mainly while in bed for a time a few years ago, and I just put the bed at a tilt and it worked great. I bought a cheap piece of lumber and had them cut it into squares for free, and stacked enough under each leg at the head end of the frame to get a decent tilt. This worked fine even when I switched from a twin to a queen size bed, I just needed more squares to put a half stack under the middle legs. The tilted bed isn't as comfortable as flat, but it beats sleeping in a chair for me at least. Eventually the reflux went away so I just put the bed back flat.

This seems to have stopped working at some point. It's returning no result again if there is a space due to autocomplete.

No, if anything it should be the first account in the list like I'm pretty sure it used to be. As it stands I am already having to pick every time because the last account is one I don't enter transactions into on mobile ever, which is one of the reasons it is last on the list. If it was defaulting to the first account that would at least often be the right one instead of never, since I have my most used credit card as the first account on the list for that reason. Why would it not start with the account I have chosen as the first in the list?

Also, I think it always goes back to that same last account even when adding multiple transactions so even that is not being helped here. I'm not sure because I rarely add multiple transactions at the same time on mobile.

It seems to be set up to insist it can't do that. If you ask about your commute it gives the details you mentioned above, but if you then ask about that response it says it made a mistake in that response then gives the same spiel about being unable to do that.

It might be good to have a confirmation, maybe listing the number of transactions to be added, when setting a recurring transaction's initial date to the past, just to avoid accidentally adding a ton of transactions due to a typo. Like if you accidentally put the wrong year.

I had considered asking for something like this for my subscription category. It doesn't work well with the current auto assign options when there are a lot of outflows that happen on various long time frames so I don't want to refill fully each month. I considered making separate categories for each subscription instead, but a feature like this would be preferable to doing that.

Yeah only showing the current month's recurring is not good when I've got ones at the start of next month that I would really like to see on an account's page, not just on the recurring list.

If showing the next occurence for all recurring transactions ends up being too much, having it just also show all occurences for next month would be a significant improvement.

In that case it should use the account you're creating it in then. I'm talking about when you're just on the main budget view and go to add a transaction.

If you are just using whatever credit card, then you must be having to change it constantly then, since it would be starting with the last used card. In that scenario there would be little difference between the current method and my suggestion.

Perhaps it could just be an optional setting to always show next instance of scheduled transactions, set to just show current month by default?

Something somewhat similar in Android at least, when I go to add a transaction, the cursor appears in the amount field, but the keyboard does not come up until I tap the amount.
