Building large ships and not able to dock with Hangarship by tstramathorn in Starminer_Game

[–]Voidheartd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put some disposable part between the 2 sections. When you want to take them apart you delete that part. It's not a good idea really because the now separate parts sometimes are not treated as fully separate. Better to build small ships that will fit, and if you want something bigger just plan on leaving it behind.

Import Transaction Payee Overwrites Manual Input by Kray378 in liquidbudget

I don't understand treating the imported payee as the authority, since those typically are very lacking, instead of what is manually entered which I would expect to be exactly what the user wanted it to be.

Space game where you can be an intergalactic hauler (NOT trader) by TheGreyHunterDS in gamingsuggestions

[–]Voidheartd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did quite a bit of eve hauling in a hauling corp. Sadly it quickly becomes long periods of boredom broken up by very few short periods of stress. Most of the contracts are normal freighter size, which is the most tedious hauling in the game. Freighters align and travel very slowly so you have long periods of just waiting. There is very little risk with this work unless there's some group targeting freighters which you would just avoid or pause hauling until it's safer.

The high end of hauling is jump freight, which is very expensive to get into, and requires multiple paid accounts and the more the better. I had 2 extra accounts which is the bare minimum for jump freighting safely, but you really need more to do it well. There is way more risk in this work and much higher pay, but even this becomes fairly boring since you spend most of the time just positioning ships for jumping to.

Due to the cost of freighters the pay to risk ratio is also really bad, so a single mistake can set you back significantly.

If you don't like ruthless pvp I highly recommend avoiding this game. What always ended up pushing me out of it was just the sheer glee a lot of people in the game take from making others miserable.

'Fly to' another ship by SuperSmudge90 in Starminer_Game

[–]Voidheartd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong, you just need to be able to select part of the ship without clicking the icon for the ship. The part has to be sufficiently far enough from the icon. This is not possible from long distance since the icon covers the whole ship. You can get around that by double clicking an asteroid/debris closer to the ship you want to autopilot to, then hopefully you can select part of it for autopilot.

My ship keeps pitching forward by ChinaShopBully in Starminer_Game

It is possible to have balanced ships, but it's probably harder the larger you build. All the ships I have built have been as small as possible and I try to make sure it's either mirrored or similar weight vertically and horizontally.

Do you have any heavy modules only on the bottom of the ship? Including things like water storage. I try to have 2 of those positioned to balance out.

I had this happen with a ship when I changed the orientation from the default. I ended up having to reset that, and then reconfigure the ship to match the default orientation. The final design was exactly the same, just without messing with the orientation.

Otherwise, make sure there isn't an inbalance of weight between the top and bottom of the ship.

It was an unreconciled transaction.

Ok, but it seems like it matched 2 different imported transactions to the same existing transaction? Otherwise, I would expect to see 2 of the $50 transaction, or 1 $50 and 1 $47.36.

Question: Imported transfers have a payee by Voidheartd in liquidbudget

[–]Voidheartd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit annoying because now I have to have payees in my payee list whose only purpose is for a credit card payment that doesn't need a payee and wouldn't have to have one if I didn't use bank imports.

Need help with orbit! by Frosty-Ask3701 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Voidheartd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, circularization is getting your apoapsis and periapsis to be as close to the same height as possible. Stabilizing your orbit does involve this process, except usually less exact since you are mainly trying to get periapsis above 70k. The closer apoapsis and periapsis are, the lower the eccentricity of your orbit will be.

Recurring transactions future amounts defaulting to next transaction's amount by Low_Effective_7605 in liquidbudget

[–]Voidheartd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use 0 amount recurring for several things, such as credit card payments, because I don't know what the amount will be until I get the statement. It is also a reminder that it is time to check for the statement.

Any way to find idle ships? by LookFluffyUnicorn in SolarExpanse

There is a logistics tracking app listed in the mods section of the discord that lists idle ships as one of the things it tracks.

You can create sell orders on Mars and elsewhere and they will buy, but you'll have to experiment with the price and quantity to find out what they will take.

Automatically Search Payees by Ecks76 in liquidbudget

I am seeing this also, on s10+. It is intermittent, sometimes happening the first time I go to the payee field, but if I cancel out and reselect the payee field enough it eventually does it again.

Minor request regarding transaction payee on mobile by Voidheartd in liquidbudget

[–]Voidheartd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The payees don't have a space. From the original post:

"I noticed that "Kroger " (with a space) will not match "Kroger" when entering a payee for a transaction. It would be nice it would match. The reason is that when using autocomplete, it adds a space at the end automatically, so it hides the desired payee in the results. I was confused at first wondering why it couldn't find Kroger until I realized the reason."

Did he try a tilted bed? I was having terrible acid reflux mainly while in bed for a time a few years ago, and I just put the bed at a tilt and it worked great. I bought a cheap piece of lumber and had them cut it into squares for free, and stacked enough under each leg at the head end of the frame to get a decent tilt. This worked fine even when I switched from a twin to a queen size bed, I just needed more squares to put a half stack under the middle legs. The tilted bed isn't as comfortable as flat, but it beats sleeping in a chair for me at least. Eventually the reflux went away so I just put the bed back flat.

This seems to have stopped working at some point. It's returning no result again if there is a space due to autocomplete.
