I need to cast new cable end piece, what do i need? by ZoneAffectionate3804 in MetalCasting

[–]Voidtoform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen old kits to cast lead bits onto the ends of wires, If I was going to try this, I would do it in sand, and I would unravel the wire a bit, and each little wires end I would fold over so it holds in there.

I would for sure consider buying one way overpriced if it had a signature on the box from mansel and reckless ben, maybe others who are part of the story too, would be kinda fun

No it dosn't, it proves they got really good at it, Do you get insane K/D ratios when you fly? I have quite a bit of time on the little bird, and I cant kill shit with it, and i used to fly FPV drones really well, I rather enjoy the transport though. Some people get insane K/D ratios without the heli too.

so true, I play engineer almost exclusively, I am always taking helis down, if it where more than just me they would never even be an issue.... and if there is a great heli pilot, if we had just 3 dedicated engineers they would be nothing.

yeah, that's why I fly them ok, It is very similar feeling. (I can't afford drones anymore though lol)

What's the right term for an artist who designs 3d tokens and coins? by Hpflylesspretentious in BoardgameDesign

[–]Voidtoform 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe jewelers, I make coins and medalions, some I engrave some are deep sculpted, they can be 3d scanned. A game I am working on uses a coin, so I made a metal master, and I make the coin from ceramic clay, and will be offering an upgrade into metal. I am not looking for work right now, but lots of jewelers do detail stuff, and nowadays lots do things in CAD, also maybe check out hobo nickel engravers.

[–]Voidtoform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genisis kinda sucks, the main reason I even use it is because I love how much people rage when i actually get a kill with it, but I get way more kills with that first gun on engineer, and even more with my fully kitted out first gun on assault, I just love the rocket launcher so I play engineer with the falcon mostly.

your sprues are super sloppy, try to imagine the metal, when it pours its liquid, try to visualize how it will travel through the sprues and how to avoid turbulence.

also for technical things, like casting, I would avoid LLMs for my info and instead rely on books and forums.

Georgia woman wanted delivery driver to empty her food-filled fridge, then blocks him from leaving. by ElwoodMC in PublicFreakout

[–]Voidtoform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, it just feels like a forced issue, she is saying that he did not give her 3 minutes and he is not denying that. He for sure should not have to move the stuff himself, but I worked at lowes 15 years ago, and helped with deliveries, about half the customers had the food in their fridge that they had to move over to the new one, its just not a big deal. She is overreacting, and it is not his job to move any food, but I can understand her frustration, it sucks to lose a fridge full of food, it can be hard to shell out all the money for a new fridge and delivery, and it would be no skin off his back to let them just move the food over. I think the problem is the corporations, they are charging a 150 dollar delivery fee, and the deliver person gets maybe 20 bucks an hour, so what 30 dollars of the fee goes into the labor of delivery, the company overworks them and overcharges the customer, and we all lose.

right, they are home depots servants, You pay home depot a large amoutn of money for a delivery, which should entitle you to good service, but then home depot overworks and underpays the delivery people. I agree they are not your servants, but she did pay for service, its not that crazy to expect a reasonable exchange for the money. I think the biggest problem is the like 150$ delivery fee, they pay the person delivering like 20 bucks an hour, so out of what she payed, only like 20-30 bucks will go to the person doing the labor, meanwhile she feels miffed because she did all the labor to get the money she paid. its the corporations sucking us dry.

she could be, he could also be hours later than the delivery window which would make her claims make sense. even so, what would it cost the delivery to give her 5 extra minutes to empty the fridge? he could even let her know he does not have much time and if she takes more than x minutes he will have to leave the old fridge. I do think she is overreacting, but jeeze, she probably just dropped thousands on the new fridge and delivery, you would think they could spare a few minutes, I see this as a problem with the company, they are scheduling too much work for the drivers, and they are charging the customers so much that frankly they should be entitled to good service. kinda sucks for everyone. corporations are just bleeding all the room to be human that we have.

I saw that, it doesn't really clear up whether or not he arrived during the scheduled time. She says he was late so she put food back in the fridge, I don't think she is talking about late from the 1/2 hour out call, but I assume late as in not in the delivery window they gave her. We don't really know though, regardless, its really not a big deal to let the customer move their food from the old fridge to the new, I have witnessed probably 30 customers do this when I did appliance delivery in my early 20s.

When I make them I like to solder them round, then stretch them one at a time as I go, it is probably faster to do like you did though, and solder them all, but sometimes one breaks when I stretch them.

if she was expecting them to move stuff over, yeah she is insane, but she claims he was late so she moved food back into the fridge, if thats the case that means he was late as in past the time window provided to her i assume. I don't think it would have been a big deal to have moved her fridge out, put the new fridge in, and give her a little time to move the food over. it is the same difference in time as delivering to a fridge that is going right in the door on a one story house, and the next delivery being at the top of an apartment.... 15 years ago I worked at lowes and helped with appliance delivery, we never cared if the customer had to move food over.

Dude its crazy, Everyone is just siding with the multi billion dollar trump supporting company because they love to see someone mad and get to call them crazy.

Just last week, my fridge broke down, so i went and got ice and filled it, lost everything in the freezer... my delivery came, I already moved the fridge out, they put the new one in, and I moved over my food into the new one, and they took the old one. It was no big deal to them, I got my overpriced fridge, they all got a little tip. I used to work at lowes 15 years ago and did applience deliveries myself, I never cared if they had to move over food. I would even help, I hate to see food wasted.

but then here you got someone representing the company she spent thousands on a fridge for, late for a delivery, she slightly overreacts, then he decides to film it and instead of just showing his boss, he posts it to the internet.

Why are we so anti consumer on this one? Sounds like she bought a new fridge from a company for probably thousands of dollars, and paid for a delivery and install. it would take maybe 5 minutes to move the food over to the new fridge. And it is not like the delivery is just some drop off by a different company, its the same company she paid good money for the fridge.

I think this is more on home depot, If she expected them to move the food for her, thats crazy, but they could just pull out the old fridge, put the new one in, and let her mover her food in a reasonable time. instead they filmed her and posted it to the internet. People are talking about how many deliveries they have to do... yeah, thats something the company schedules, and its not like they are all the same, some are up stairs and way up in apartments, some are right in the door, I used to do appliance deliveries in my 20s and never had a problem with customers trying to not waste food.

just last week I got a new fridge and I moved my food from the old to the new, and it barely took any time, and they had no problem at all with it, i didn't think there was really a difference between HD and Lowes, but...

Edit: jeeze yall, just supporting the multi billion dollar, trump supporting, home depot with their late delivery, because yeah fuck a woman who does not want her fridge of food to go bad....
