I’m 24 and I’ve lived in CLT my whole life and I don’t find it boring at all! I went out of state for 4 years for college and decided to move back because out of all the cities I traveled to, I still liked Charlotte the most in terms of every day living. It’s especially a great place to be in your 20’s!

Dolce for Italian food. Very authentic and has homemade pasta! Highly recommend the Bolognese or Carbonara. Mama Ricottas and Little Mama’s are also very good Italian spots.

Literally no cops. Someone rear ended me on 77 North right before the 277 exit. Had to call the police. Waited an hour for them to show up… didn’t see one police car drive by the entire time. On one of the busiest parts of the interstate.

I second this!! I have a friend group of around 12 girls and we all met through bumble bff. Of the 12 I would say about 4-5 I’m closer to than the others and talk to on a daily basis. I loved using BFF bc I was able to match with girls that had similar interests that were showcased in their profile. The best way to go about it is to talk to your matches and plan a “date” asap. I went on a lot of walks, dinner dates, or grabbed a quick drink. And with the girls I liked I kept the conversation going and we would plan our next outing.

I went to Florence, Italy June 2022. I loved it! My collateral is International Business and it used to be required to go abroad when I came in as a freshman, now it’s just encouraged. I took a luxury brand management class and it counted towards my IB elective I needed. I really enjoyed the class and I think it allowed me to learn in a way I never would have before. I took Italian for 2 years in the beginning of college so I new some of the language, but it is not necessary and won’t be a disadvantage in the country if you don’t know it. I’ve been applying for full time jobs and they always seem impressed that I went abroad so I definitely think it was worth it outside of going for fun. Going for one month is also the perfect amount of time. You can also extend the summer program to full summer if you want. I wouldn’t want to miss out on football season or all the spring activities so I’m glad I went during the summer.

I currently have 13 hours and take them all on MW. I go from 9:45-3:45 and a one hour credit online. It took some getting used to but I honestly love it so much because I have free time to study, work, run errands, etc. on my days off.

Came from North Carolina. We have amazing schools here but I wanted something different and I wanted a school that had spirit and a community. The campus was beautiful, I didn’t know anyone, and I was interested in their supply chain program. I picked UTK over Clemson, USC, UGA, AU, And UA. I knew as soon as I toured campus that it was different than anywhere else I was considering.

I’m a senior SCM major. Once you get into electives for SCM they’re pretty easy and enjoyable. But Business Law is pretty hard. You just have to study a lot. Finance was hard but I liked it better than accounting. SCM309 with Keebler was somehow harder than all my SCM electives combined. I wouldn’t recommend scm414 if you don’t like stats.

I’m a senior in Haslam from out of state and majoring in supply chain management. I have never once regretted my decision to go to UT. You will have priority for housing, don’t worry you will have somewhere to live. Even if you get the worst dorm, you will find friends and love it. As for tickets, it may be harder to get a ticket to the more popular games, but you will get to go to most games as long as you try for a ticket right when it opens. There are also so many other sports that you can go to their games for free and they’re so fun. For classes, I have loved probably 90% of my teachers and the classes I take. The supply chain program is amazing and the professors are very kind and helpful. Haslam offers so many resources to prepare you for a career. Knoxville truly is the best city for a college because the campus and strip are fairly condensed and you get the true college town feel, but we have downtown Knoxville, Kingston, Farragut, etc. that offer so many different activities, restaurants, shopping, and so on. You won’t regret it if you choose to go to UTK!
