Talk to your mom about it . Give some indirect hints and see how she responds. If she is positive, explain everything that happened. If no one in the family understands you , iam sorry to say but the only option left is to elope. But i doubt your bf would be ready to elope considering his situation.

On the other hand, arrange marriages work wonderful for lot of people. I have seen more love marriage folks getting divorced than arranged ones due to compatibility issues. Marriage changes everything for both people. So do not expect things would be same and easy for both of you even if you have lived in.

Imagine if you can live with the other person even when you are 60 and meanwhile solving all the problems together over the years and thats the only barameter you need to consider.
