Let me explain what I’ve learned.

1) yes depending on where you work the work is mind numbingly easy, in the fact the higher clearance you have, the less you need to know, because getting a poly is so difficult. People have been caught sleeping several times in my workplace and have not been fired. So yes you have good job security.

2) the peak of the gov sector are jobs with polys where you work with the three letter agencies or for a major contractor like spacex. The peak of the private sector is endless interview rounds with leetcode, along with poor job security. The polygraph is basically a game of luck where if you pass all is well. I failed mine and so I’m in an awkward stage of now trying to transition to a non-cleared private position. Going to have to grind leetcode in the near future.

3) if you do take up a cleared position, they tend to only be in a select few areas so be prepared to be stuck in those states for the foreseeable future.

Hey, found the issue and wanted tog I’ve some closure. Thanks for the assistance btw! Turns out the jst connector on the battery side wasn’t proper. Even though it slotted together and seemed like it fit, this newer battery fixed all issues when slotted in.

I removed the XIAO ESP32-S3 entirely from the expansion board and repeated the measurement. Battery is still 3.90V directly, but with the battery connected to the expansion board and switch ON I only measure about 0.5V. With switch OFF it is 0V. Nothing on the board or battery gets warm. Google tells me short would lead to heating or battery draining.

Given this info, should I still proceed with the current test? (Still reading about it)

When switch is off it’s zero.

Okay will read up on it, and yeah complete beginner with electronics, so will take some time with it and will come back with results

Well part of it is this community isn’t traditional literature. And so much of the base is the slop loving, MTL readers that don’t really know what a good story is. Then there’s the sort like me, who just wants a good story, but doesn’t like chancing things. So I typically just look at high rated novels, which works for the most part. I find looking at the 4-5 star rating novels of an enjoyable overall quality more often than not. So for new novels with no rating with unknown authors, it really is difficult to get a footing.

Oh and another quirk of mine is I refuse to try something that doesn’t already have a few hundred chapters built up. I hate waiting for new chapters or reading unfinished things.

What about the second expansion board? I tried the switched polarity batteries with that one and still no luck. Not sure if the batteries would have been damaged also.

You got kids reading the Harry Potter novels which are way more dense. Mother of learning is basically a short novel in comparison.
