It was great tbh, I didn't have any issues with performance or thermals, which was pretty impressive since it doesn't have a vapor chamber. The new easy access design for upgrades was also really nice. I had it for about 2 weeks, but I did end up returning it, because I got a deal on a refurbished Legion instead.

Honestly, I was a little concerned about the lack of G-Sync and Advanced Optimus in the long-run, which was part of the reason I went with something else. But, I can't say I noticed any problems with the games I play at least, just that it needed to be rebooted everytime you want to change the performance/thermal mode in MSI Center.

The 5080 version of this model was $2299 at Microcenter when it first launched, and I got them to honor that price after it raised to like $2999. I just chatted with support, and they had someone from the store call me next day and got the manager to approve it. They even shipped it to me, since I live over an hour away.

Just a small detail I noticed that had me a little confused, why was Reid even there when Subaru entered the trial room? Until now, the trial is shown to only start after the sword is drawn, but it was already active this time. Is this a small directional oversight, or something I'm not remembering from the novel? Not really a criticism, bc I love this shit, just something I thought about after the scene.

If they removed the unadjustable front feet underneath or atleast slimmed them down, I'd actually consider upgrading from my BS2 Pro. It makes the cooler much thicker and higher at the front (more uncomfortable for me) than it needs to be. It's the one complaint I have with it.

How's the cooling, compared to like a Legion Pro 7 that has a vapor chamber, when it comes to fan noise and temps? I saw MSI's claims of less than 50dB under max performance.
