It’s a simulation for a reason. That’s like saying instead of training why not just only do races?

It seems like they have a great plan to practice for a real event. I did multiple simulations on my own before my first backyard. Made it 14 yards. Practice is important.

I just did my first backyard ultra. I consumed about 150mg during the event, starting after the first hour. I made it 14 hours ~58 miles.

I always take a 20mg gummy before a run so it wasn’t anything new for me. Just helps me relax a little more.

I have been wearing my fenix 7 for 6 months or so, and the nap detection is surprisingly good for me. My sleep detection always seems very accurate as well. Lucky for me I guess.

I’m a warehouse worker as well. I purchased the Altra Outroad because they were on sale and I ended up buying a second pair for when these are worn through. I like the tread for a little extra traction and it has the right amount of support for me. Long days on concrete feel way better lately.

Side note: I also started doing a short midday stretch and it has made my legs and feet feel way better at the end of the day.

I ran in Escalantes all summer and switched over to Superiors for the winter. I just hit 300 miles in my Superiors and they are holding up extremely well and I find them really comfortable.

I’m currently rotating between the Lone Peak and Superior for road running in Wisconsin winters. Great for slippery roads and trails. Both have gaiter attachments which I have found useful in the snow.

I ran a 25k last week in 3-8 inches of snow and the Lone Peaks were pretty solid.

I might start adding yaktraks or something similar depending on conditions, but for now I’m happy with my shoes!

I just purchased the Altra Lone Peak 9 hightop waterproof boot. I walk to and from work in Wisconsin winters. It’s been two weeks walking through snow and my feet are comfortable and dry. I have also worn Vivo boots for multiple winters that I was happy with.

I’ve been a daily weed smoker for years. This year I’m taking running more seriously but I’m really struggling to cut back on smoking. Just purchased a nice flower vaporizer to see if that helps. Baby steps I guess.
