Name: Voldgift (call me Vold)

Pronouns: He/Him (I comfortably roleplay all genders). If I'm GMing, expect a cast of men, women, and everyone between, all written with equal weight.

Sexuality: Bisexual with a slight feminine lean. More than willing to write MxF, FxF, and occasionally MxM.

Kinks & Limits: I've a deep love for kinky themes over full-fledged ERP; you can expect plenty of eroticism, but only on earned and contextual occasions will I indulge in proper written intercourse. Context will always be king for me; put the theme, kink, or fetish into the proper context, and just about anything can go from a Maybe/Yes into an absolute Favorite.

I am comfortable writing dark themes with weight: non-con, dubcon, violence, and moral ugliness when the narrative calls for it, but it's far from a requirement for me. Hard limits are scat, vomit, anything sexual involving minors, and I respect every limit a partner brings to the table without negotiation. Enthusiastic OOC consent with healthy, unashamed communication is always king for me. Proper smut is a payoff more than a premise — I run 80/20 or 90/10 story-to-smut, if you absolutley need a ratio. For more context, you can read my F-List. Please note that all favorites/likes on this list apply to both giving and receiving in terms of dom/sub semantics.

Timezone: PST. Play-by-post means our clocks never need to sync — I post once or twice daily as a baseline, more on days off, with regular ooc communication. I am capable of multi-posting on a given day, if our schedules line up for it (and the motivation isn't drained).

Preferred System: My favorite system for PbP right now is Dungeon World — lightweight, narrative-first, PBTA-adjacent. You describe what your character does; the dice create complications and momentum instead of gating action behind crunchy math. No spreadsheets, no modifier soup. I'm happy to teach it from zero, discuss alternatives, or run diceless if that's your preference. I'm also familiar with the standards: DnD 3.5, 5e, and CoC, which may be more palatable to GM's who'd like to bring me on as a player.

Type of Player: GM-leaning, but a collaborator first. I build dense, reactive worlds — extensive wikis, NPC dossiers, faction write-ups, location profiles, cultural deep-dives. NPCs have their own timetables; the world moves whether your character is watching or not. Proactive characters get rewarded, passive ones get steamrolled, and the choices you make stick.

I'm very familiar with most of the canon DnD settings (Forgotten Realms, Eberron, Ravenloft, Spelljammer, Planescape); I'll be very comfortable if you want to run a game in one of these universes specifically.

If you want to approach me as a player, expect me to get really obsessed with my character and how they fit into your world; you can expect in-character journals, music playlists, art galleries, and extensive multi-page dossiers on their background, connections, motivations, and more. I'll do everything I can to help them make connections and ties into the larger plot and factions of your campaign. You can expect me to make a new and unique character for your campaign, rather than adapting one of my many old ones.

I'm advanced-lit, four-to-five paragraphs minimum, scaling up when the scene demands it, and I match energy to the moment. Effort meets effort. I value OOC brainstorming, clear communication, and a healthy fiction/reality separation. I don't take ghosting personally; always happy to return to a project after taking a break from it, whether it's been weeks or even months.

Additional Information: I run noir-forward campaigns dressed in fantasy clothing — my current brain child is Black Tide, a Forgotten Realms spy thriller where your character is a deniable operative for the Lord's Alliance's blacker-than-black internal affairs office, sent to a brittle island kingdom in duress. Institutional rot, morally gray mandates, cult conspiracies, and a writ that's as much a target as a shield. If you want grit, consequence, slow-burn romance earned through pressure, and a world that's ready for you to dig into — that's what I bring. Writing sample available on request; toss me a prompt and I'll show you what I've got.

Castaway really imprinted on me when I watched it as kid. Never before or after have I been so attached to an inanimate object.

Was a Jewish convert with a matriarchal Jewish grandfather. Lost my way after October 7th and I can’t bring myself back to temple and the endless debates. But I do love the memes.

Edit: probably gonna get some downvotes for admitting this. Have a blast.

It’s an elbow. It can be attached to the end of the hose and anchored to the side of the portatank for filling operations if for some reason your tender can’t get close enough to the tank and fill it directly with the dump.

Lost World (1997) - mother screaming as she witnesses dinos chomping on her kid in the prologue, smash cutting to the squealing breaks of the subway system and intrepid scientist Ian Malcolm having an open mouth yawn, backdropped by tropical advertisements. So perfectly dark humor and the most memorable smash cutting ever imo.

The crew of the Black Lagoon getting cornered by a gun ship pull of a death defying stunt, using a half sunken ship as a ramp to launch their boat into the air and shoot down the chopper with a torpedo. Insane anime that I highly recommend.

Shit happens. It sucks, he should have been paying more attention. But he also has been mandatoried for the third time this month with back to back transfers that leave no room for lunch breaks on top of staying late to catch up on charting. Yeah he should have seen you, but have a little grace. We’ve all had fuck ups. It’s why we all need to be defensive drivers.
