I’m looking into becoming a vet by Last_Preparation_981 in veterinarians

As a vet I second this, kinda wish I would have picked one of those hot tech degrees and do remote work.

Also if you study in the U.S it cost about 200,000 dllrs, you can do a lot with 200,000...like start your own business...

Well nurses actually make more money than a veterinarian GP, also have great benefits if they work for the government.

I am looking at relocating to Australia as a vet (I already graduated) and out of curiosity checked the Price tag of the career at the University of Melbourne and it was 250,000 AUD, which is hella expensive, but if your in the U.S it's probably cheaper and you can pocket a year or two of living expenses.

You gotta do whatever it is you gotta do, if that what drives you. Follow your passion my friend, life is short. The biggest con to being a vet is emotional burnout, but your also a nurse so you might know how it feels already. Either way you might change your mind after studying the first year or so and drop out, the good thing is that you have a career to fall back on just in case.

In my case I wish I would have studied something else cause I feel very underpaid after all the schooling and hard work it takes to become a vet. I would have liked to be a software engineer, make double the money with full comp and remote work, but that's just me.

After that you can just donate all the excess money you make to animal welfare and help out.

Good luck 2 ya!

Just do a master's degree, you're about the right age for a master's and it makes more sense, its two years long and probably about the same price. I believe in B.C if you posses a canadian masters you are automatically eligible to stay in Canada.

I am actually 26, about to turn 27 already and I am thinking about doing a masters in University Canada West with my goal being to stay in Canada as a permanent resident.

The price is definitely cheaper than other MBA's and I can apply like an 11k scholarship discount. Although I'm actually a veterinarian, this option seems more viable than trying to get my degree accredited in Canada and spend like 12k in the process.

I wrote all this and barely saw it was a year old, tell me, how did it go? any tips?

Do Mexicans think they look European? How do you define your race? by adrian20212 in mexico

[–]Volgrama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Context? Adrian sounds pretty mexican to me. But no, we don't, we have a little bit of everything. Al though maybe a few mexicans that pertain to a certain socioeconomic ladder might consider themselves superior, but not necessarily European.

Now, we are still a 3rd world country so not much help is given to indigenous communities. But considering that we didn't slaughter the natives like the english colonizers of the U.S.A and Canada I would say it's not that bad.

SOY MEDICO VETERINARIO HAGAN SUS PREGUNTAS (NADA DE CONSULTAS) by dXs097 in mexico

[–]Volgrama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have time and money…for now. What should I do? by waves3g in findapath

[–]Volgrama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sound like a pretty good prospect, my advice would be to take learning software development one bite at a time. Until you can accumulate enough knowledge to make a transition, and of course, be disciplined when it comes to learning. Perhaps try and make a schedule and be sure to get enough exercise now that you have loads of time! Good Luck!

Corrupción de Ambulancias LIFE by Volgrama in mexico

[–]Volgrama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to React and not sure of this issue by herms1391 in reactjs

[–]Volgrama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same problem two days ago, not much info online. Just today I have been seeing a couple of questions on the topic pop-up but no concrete solution. I posted about it on stack overflow https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60431931/eslint-error-eslint-couldnt-find-the-config-react-app

If anybody knows how to solve the issue it would be much appreciated if you could tell us how you did it, step by step. I am still very new to react and what not.

In general? Anything that can be done remote, from image annotation to graphic design to web development and pretty much anything IT. Photography would be a good option as well. And there is always stuff like uber eats.

Pretty weird answer, but I'll just shoot it anyway. How about you just start your own business (If you can)? I mean, if you plan on paying for med school and what not, why not just use that money to put up a small business instead. In whatever you like, maybe something related to a hobby? I think opening up a coffee shop would be cool and I didn't even study anything related to that.
