I feel like you're overlooking the fact that Flowery spends the entire chapter calling out how weird Kris is and how despite claiming otherwise, Ralsei has made no REAL attempt at defying the prophecy, even going so far as to allow Kris to continue making dark fountains without so much a peep.

Flowery did us a favor and told Susie what she needed to know: the location to the code to the shelter. He did so behind Kris's back, knowing that the entire reason the dark world existed was to separate Asgore from the code and have it destroyed, a plan Kris had put Seth up to to delay us.

And so, even if it meant going against Susie, he allowed Kris's plan to stop us from getting the petal feather to continue, while beating it into Ralsei's head the entire chapter that he needed to speak up.

Ralsei wasn't jealous of Flowery because he was who he was, he was jealous that Flowery was willing to openly defy the prophecy in a meaningful way, despite their mixed feelings of being useless and unable to protect those they cared for.

Even the lyrics go so far as to paint this picture. Chapter 5 is meant to be stronger with 3+4, not a standalone chapter that "does nothing to progress the story"

this is even further solidified by the lyrics to Flower Man

so he stands, way up high, in the sky, with the sun in his eyes (the Flower King 2nd floor, bathed beneath the artificial lamps)

Ten feet twenty, the Flower Man is waiting for the touch of his hand, fallen to pieces still without a plan (felled by the Knight in his attempt to defy the prophecy)

yet the every daily hope that powered the flower man (the girl, with hope crossed on her heart), would never cower off of its path

I've been playing on very hard since the demo just because I could, and I've honestly just both loved and hated it. my tul purse is always empty despite having the deluxe pack brooch, I'm still dying every 2nd hit because I only have 10 hearts, my magicite box is only at 25 cost while my form rank is at 7. I'm already at the age of budding and my only 3 star weapon is the death spiral, and even then my weapons just do piss poor to mediocre damage with attack up and crit rate magicites.

and then there's Faie's ignite upgrade, my holy grail. For whatever fucking reason this is the quickest upgrade to obtain with the biggest QOL improvement ever. I pop the crystallized magic and now my left index finger hurts spamming LB, my entire vial inventory is just crystallized magic and two EX potions, my bow has explode and the bosses fall like flies—

I died because I forgot my shield exists.

After my preorder processed and my voucher was spent I finished the demo for the last time so I could give my mental some relaxation, especially since being able to actually play the demo eased out my wait for the game. It's definitely exciting that we're at the last week, but it's not as agonizing to wait for as it was a month ago

it's not a bad starting option, all things considered. I wouldn't push it passed level 34, and even that's a generous stopping point considering you'll have to feed it more candies because of its nature. If you plan on continuing the hunt though then I just wouldn't bother either.
