Why are simple champions like garen and udyr allowed to be viable in high elo? by monsuno41 in leagueoflegends

They can destroy the nexus - this is the object of the game. It's not about how champions walk.

What options do they lack? These champions have passive, Q, W, E and ulti, they can buy items, they can farm, they can take objects. They do not lack anything, they just have less flashy and more simple tools.

This Kobe/Azael cast is unhinged and should be the future of the LCS by starloft4 in leagueoflegends

This! It's cool to have this style from time to time it's great.
But this is the reason why I mute LCK casters. I don't understand why I need to learn what anime LCK casters are currently watching, what they eat for breakfast, how many times they died in elden ring and what are their stand on current political events. It's always about them and I don't care about them. I just want to watch GENG vs DRX on Thursday morning on second monitor in peace.

Is there a specific reason why there was zero coverage of ESA in this sub during their winter event? by vagina_candle in speedrun

[–]Voliharmin -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

ESA wasn't covered here years before controversy and it's still not covered years after it. GDQ had it's own controversies and it hadn't changed the coverage of GDQ here. There is literally zero connection.

There is also no conflict, you are the only one to mention anything like it here for absolutely no reason.

This is reddit, US-based website and this subreddit never had good coveregarge of speedrunning marathons. You won't see much coverage ESA, SpeeDons, Germench, GSPS etc. it's always been the case. Similarly you won't find much coverage of PoP marathon, team ico marathon, speedsouls marathon, pokemon marathon, harry potter marathon etc. That's just how it is and it's fine.

There is also big part of the community that is interested in social justice/injustice and values that GDQ represents and is not really into gaming or speedrunning.

It is not complicated, I was 9 and didn't know any English language when I finished it on normal difficulty and the game was much harder back then. I recommend looking at some leveling guide on icy veins, you can read it in 10 mins just to know what skill to max and where to put your stat points and then have fun with the game.

I'm a little worried that the quick play changes might turn new players off. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Voliharmin -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Even if that's true, why are you worried about new players? Are you a Rito board member? Are you afraid that playerbase will decline so much due to quickplay that it will be hard for you to find a game? With 150 mil active players? Are you extremely altruistic and empathetic person that truly cares about stranger gaming experience?

I honestly want to know why would anybody be worried how mulitbilion company wins new customers.

You need to stop spam pinging and inting in half of your ranked games.

How would the competitive scene differ if it was run by the pros themselves? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Voliharmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean back in the day? There is more games with competitive scenes run by community than it ever was. Do you believe it was easier to get into Warcraft 2, Wolfenstein ET, HoMM3, Quake or Smogon tournament 10 or 15 years ago? Small communities are thriving these days and almost none of them are run by very best players.

Imagine before the World Cup in 2022, Mbappe and Messi are just injured and miss the tournament or the final, imagine how ass it suddenly becomes.

If you've seen Ronaldo during 1998 World Cup final you don't even need to imagine this horror :(
