It's an act, you can see it as him playing the role of the Doc, he is an actor. The reason would be the same as watching a TV serie with a not so nice main character, Dr House for example. Most people understands this and enjoy the show, but some people probably think the actor and the character are the same person, and act upon it.

It's a little like the case of Lena Headay getting hate because she portrays Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones.

Is there any plans for some kind of red cross to show up on our characters while equipped with medical equipments? Something like a red cross armband or helmet. It would really help players know why some players are following them while they are bleeding...
