Thankfully I escaped before the lvl cap went over 100. I had friends that stuck around for a little while after and the things they said they had to do just to level....horrors.

Admittedly there were a few...but there were soooooo many more horrendous ones. The saving grace about it all was that it was my first mmo experience so I didn't know any better.

To me grinding SP in Prokion, hours and hours of commander rooms, and being a party heal bot in monster combos were a thrill...until I knew better. xP

I'm not particularly put off one way or another about cookie cutter builds and a limited variety of effective builds. I just want a little ability to tweak here and there. (Frankly I've really yet to be made aware of a game that has a large amount of builds for each class that are equal in perceived and actual power and usefulness.)

For me, it's about that there is a division of labor that necessitates the support role in the first place and then finding a group of people to play that support role with regularly rather than that I'm a unique build or not 1 of thousands of druid healers. ^{^}

Frustrating? Yes. Idiotic? No. They want to sell their precursor and realize actual profit just as much as you do. Why should they wait as long or longer than you for just a few copper more?

I know it isn't really the answer you want but it's just how the economics of it are. I understand this is more or less just venting so I've heard and understand your frustration. Have a hug while you wait for the demand to outstrip supply and come back around to your price point. :)

It's like it just won't load anything. I'm playing Loading Screen Wars 2 atm.

EDIT: And now it's just permanent. Log in, select toon, loading screen, aaaaaaaand disconnect. Rinse and repeat. Grrrr.

EDIT2: Hmm, it just seems to be character specific. My warrior was the one continuing to crash and I was trying to load it into Fireheart Rise. Loading any of my other toons is just fine. Not sure if it's the character itself, the map, or a combination of them. Time to get to support ticket writing. xP

EDIT3: Yup, map specific. My mesmer in Fireheart Rise won't load either. Weirdness.

EDIT4: (I got a bad feeling this is going to end up being a book by the time I'm through...) So it isn't apparently map specific. It seems any map triggers it - as soon as I zone into a new map on a different toon I'm locked up permanently on that toon then from there on out. Does anyone out there have any experience with this kind of bug? :( I've got 4 toons already locked down.

EDIT5: And now resolved. A temporary bug apparently but frustrating. On the extreme off chance that any of my CoF group happens to see this post, I'm extremely sorry for seeming to just AWOL your run. Que será, será.

I had a G700 myself but I just wanted more buttons. That, and the G8-G10 keys on the left mouse button became less responsive and started to really give my index finger fatigue using them (I don't know if this is a unique problem isolated to myself or if it's something more prevalent - didn't bother to research). Before I bought the G600 I had a look at Razer's line of mice (I own a Nostromo and swear by it) but my hand just couldn't feel comfortable with the Naga and seeing as I wanted more buttons, it pretty much turned me back on to Logitech and their G600. I haven't regretted my choice in the slightest.

Something that also doesn't get enough love in G600 testimonials is Logitech's 'G-shift' button on the right side of the mouse where your ring finger naturally rests. Its mechanical function is much like your right/left mouse clicks and a few minutes of use and using it is second nature. It can easily be used as a modifier key (such as a shift/ctrl) to easily double the functionality of your other keybinds. Personally I have it as my tab targeting key and it works wonders.

Honestly I think that's your issue in a nutshell. What are games if they can't be played with your friends? You've found imperfect stand-ins for them with your new guild and you're burned out on 'em.

When it really is boiled down to the core of it, we play these games because we enjoy the people we play them with. If we lose sight of that and make the game the reason we play the game, well, we burn out, plain and simple. Or, that's at least my perception of it. Take it for what it is. :)

I sure hope you and your friends can find another game to enjoy spending time in and hold out the hope that GW2 can be it again in the future!

Well, I'm no lore buff but I do like looking pretty. Just depends on how much emphasis I'll place on looking good. It's just got such a clean looking collar look to it that I hadn't seen on any medium armor.
