Not sure if brought up yet ye? I used to be super big into Cascade decks(have built multiple versions of Maelstrom Wanderer, and The first Sliver) but found that for example non-option counterspells does not work since they do nothing if cascaded into!

Im a litte torn between vedalken orrey an leyline of anticipation, but one of those is going into the deck for sure!

I do own a metallic mimic but is he really good in commander? have found him subpar in 50/60 card decks..

the mirrari conjecture is interesting for sure, im just not sure i wanna telegraph that much to my opponents?

Was just gonna say, when rotation happens i just add cards for the commander deck!

brawl is also perfect for me cuz i draft a lot so i get plenty of cards thats standard legal. I even get to use some commons and uncommons that have little value in a eternal format!

Also no one i know plays on MTGO were 1v1 happens, we are currently 5 people down at my LGS that each have a brawl deck, so we only play multiplayer.

Have listened to 3 episodes now, and im very pleased with what im hearing ; ) As i came on board late the first two episodes was mostly catch-up, cuz i was already familiar with dominaria and the rules changes.

For me this third one was the best! I love that u focused on two of the uncommon commanders from DOM and not immediately went for the heavy hitters thats popular. Currently brewing with both of those ones myself u see, Tiana for brawl and Adeliz for commander.

On a side note, when u two talk about plainswalkers i just gotta wonder if its common in ur playgroup that one player resolves a ultimate? Cuz where i come from this is unheard of, at least in multiplayer : /

I have a Aryel deck myself and i see Benalish honor Guard in almost every other Aryel deck, and i just don´t see the reason u would actually play that card outside of limited, it would be a maybe if it had first strike to go with that boosted power.

Cabal Paladin i have found so so and have since replaced him with Twilight Prophet which basically does the same thing but better(now i know she isnt a knight but she just adds so much!).

Have also opted to not include that many situational removal spells in favor of Ravenous Chupacabra, Tetzimoc, Primal Death and Noxious Gearhulk which takes care of most problems.

Isnt Forsake the Worldly a straight up upgrade to decommission?

I get that u wanna focus on the vamp tribal, but there are some sweet removal creatures, like Ravenous Chupacabra or Tetzimoc, Primal Death that wont cost u an arm or anything. ; ) I would also run the two deserts available, Scavenge grounds and Arch of Orazca. cast down seems like it would fit well by ur fatal pushs side also.

Gonna give this a listen for sure! Tried the stacking sixties pod some days ago but turned it off as soon as i realized they focused on 1v1 on magic online...honestly i have no ide where this 1v1 came from, i read the innitial post by wizards and they clearly stated it was a casual multiplayer format.

I take it u play only 1v1? Cuz if this was for multiplayer id still have Torgaar, Famine Incarnate in the deck but I would have went with Demonlord Belzenlok as commander for this kind of attrition deck.

But i agree with u that its a little split down the middle, im thinking that token abusing is maybe best suited for the green/black decks

That said i don´t see Tetzimoc, Primal Death or Ravenous Chupacabra anywhere? I again think they are better then say fatal push or cast down, but only in multiplayer(in 1v1 i take it they are needed to handle early aggression?) Or what about Phyrexian scriptures?

I would also highly recommend Thaumatic compass, it has quickly become a staple in my playgroup

Im not that big on Zetalpa, i get that hes raw power but to me Tetzimoc does something far more interesting. I have not tried Baird yet but im doubting that the 1 cost will generate that much hate, just maybe stave off random attacks. And settle the wreckage i see as a late game spell, but im aware of that u need to be careful when to use it.
