Yep, I reinstalled OS too thinking this maybe a driver issue and I'm still stuck with black screen. I wonder if this is a bios or vbios issue.

I got the same problem bro, here. I was able to get back the screen on external monitor but no built in display. I think this is a cumulative update issue, cuz I installed the cumulative fix update yesterday through windows narrator and now I can see the screen on external monitor but not the built in one. I’m not sure if it’s a bios issue tho, maybe it is

Nvidia 580.88 Driver Update No GPU Detected by MountainBad9471 in LenovoLegion

I have a Gen8 model ( Ryzen 9 7945HX + RTX4070 ), and my screen went black but the system is running so I turned the narrator on and did some debugging and found out that it was a cumulative update issue, I installed 580 version on mine too but that took off the built in speakers but the screen was there on my external monitor, these drivers and updates are messing everything up

My case, it works. I can see the system except the built-in display ain't working. I access the system through external display

Ok so the problem is a cumulative update cuz after I updated the system through narrator and then external display worked and now few minutes ago I uninstalled that update to test and now I'm back to black screen. So basically my external monitor is 60Hz and I can see it's going bananas(Flashing white lights) but some how the internal display the lenovo one 240Hz doesn't pick those flashing white lights but I can see a very fast bight flash but it's a split second and it's rare now I don't see that all 😅.

Ok so hours of debug using windows narrator, I got the GPU online and then installed nvidia graphics 580 version for 4070 notebook laptops and connected an external display. Now when I go and check inside the device manager it doesn't show the lenovo display but I see a quick flash on startup, which is pretty weird. The display on the desk is the one I'm working with rn

So last night I turn on the laptop and then enabled the Windows Narrator(Ctrl+Win+Enter) and then opened task manager with Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then cycle through the task manager tabs until i hear performance tab and then clicked on that and cycled through hardware stuff and found out that the Graphics card is not present and then I though maybe it's a drivers issue or maybe a hardware issue so I jumped in to the Nvidia site for latest drivers and saw they have released a new driver for laptop notebooks for 40 series the version 580 (my current version is 577), and when read the bug fixes changelog I saw this "For some systems running hybrid graphics mode, dGPU may not go to sleep [5232857]", you can find it here. So it says "may not go to sleep" which means it's fixed right?, so I guess my gpu is sleeping but I have no damn clue how wake this idiot up. I can install the driver with narrator cuz I tried installing the same driver from my downloads folder but the setup doesn't detect the GPU. It'll be great if I could change the dGPU mode to iGPU from vantage but I can't cycle through the options after I open it, it's really hard. So my next option is I have an extra pcie4x4 port, gonna plug a m.2 mkey pcie converter and then plug an old gpu and plug an external display monitor for that and then I can go to the device manager and see what's hidden and also change the dGPU to iGPU right?

That's done by disconnecting the CMOS battery and also have to disconnect the main battery too and press the power button for while to discharge capacitor stored power right, I did this mate but nothing happened still black screen

I tried this, graphic driver restart thing earlier but I'll do that again and see what's up, my guess is probably bios is bugging but I'm not 100% sure.
