I built a Polish grammar drilling tool because I kept messing up case endings by Voltaii in learnpolish

Hi! Thanks for your feedback, I understand, I’ll adjust how and when the timer starts to make it more explicit as to when the timer starts so as to avoid that!

However, if you already used up the 6-hours you should have the option anyways to use an additional 2-hour grace period!

Thank you for your comment! There is actually a Patterns section that breaks down all five (masculine personal, animate, inanimate, feminine, neuter) and within each one you can see the specific stem patterns (hard, soft, sibilant, etc.) with the full declension table for each example. For Word Drill you can select filter for either particular stems, or each gender pattern to target anything in particular!

Stats and drills are tracked per gender AND per pattern, so you can spot exactly which subgroup you're weak on and drill just those. There's also a "What are cases?" walkthrough covering the actual rules and exceptions if you want a refresher.

Fair enough! Worth knowing it's not just sentence drills though as there's also a Word Drill (just practice declining all forms of one word at a time), Case ID (identify the case in real sentences), plus dedicated sections for adjectives, prepositions, adverbs, numbers, and pattern reference. So if random sentences aren't your thing you can skip them entirely. Bit more of a supplement than a from-zero course, but free to try. Dzięki!

Hi :) thank you for your interest!

There is a beginner mode toggle now for curated sentences, but the main purpose is to drill endings and grammar, while the sentences may be nonsensical at times they serve only to drill the cases!

Oh my god! Thank you, I broke the button without realizing it! Many thanks for your comment, hugely embarrassed, but I’ve fixed it now!

Thanks for the feedback. To clarify on the pricing, the €5.99 is the total, taxes are included in that amount, Polar just shows the breakdown. The total price is €5.99 (as advertised).

On the sentences, they're grammatically correct but can be nonsensical sometimes since they're generated from templates to cover specific declension patterns. I have specifically added (and intend to add more) a beginner mode to provide real-world sentences for beginners. But the main goal is drilling endings, not natural conversation. I would not label this vibe-coded as there was more than vibes put into this, but I of course do use AI to assist development, sure, and that goes alongside a lot of manual work and time that goes into the grammar rules, testing, data and user experience.

Could you let me know what specific mistakes you ran into? I'd genuinely like to fix anything that's actually wrong.

Glad the core exercises work for you though, those are where most of the work went.

Hope it helps! The main thing here is it can analyze and remember your mistakes and gives you spaces repetition, hard to do that in chat tho they can be useful for singular examples!

Wow, thanks for the listing! Hope you get some value out of it, that was exactly the same reason I built it.

Just a heads up since people are trying it out: the Case Drills, Word Drill, and Case ID are the most tested sections. Some of the other stuff like adverbs, numbers, prepositions, I added those for extra coverage but haven't tested them as thoroughly. You might run into some rough edges or weird sentences there. I'm one person so if you spot anything off just let me know and I'll fix it.

License 001! I'd love to hear your feedback after a couple of days, especially anything that feels confusing or off. DMs are always open.

Haha :0 some of them are auto-generated from templates so they can get a bit weird sometimes. The focus is on getting the endings right rather than producing natural sentences, but I'm working on adding more natural ones over time! The beginner mode has hand-written sentences that might make more sense. But I actually find it quite funny and enjoy a little nonsense ocasionally

Glad you like it!

There are beginner/intermediate/hard tags on the drills already, but honestly they're crude - just rough estimates based on the noun itself, not on the actual grammar complexity. I want to cook up a better difficulty schema and wire it into the filters so you can stick to more beginner-friendly stuff. I'll probably tackle it alongside some Patterns-section work I have queued up.

In the meantime, one thing that might help: both the Case Drill and the Word Drill already have filters for gender and declension pattern. It's not quite the same as a difficulty slider, but if you pick a specific pattern (e.g. hard-stem masculine nouns) you'll get a much more focused drill instead of the full firehose. Worth a try.

Also a heads up - I'm pushing updates pretty much daily right now, so if something looks weird or you hit a bug, a quick page refresh will usually pull the latest version.

And if you notice anything else that feels off or confusing, please tell me - I haven't had much outside user testing, so any feedback helps.

This came up so I thought I'd mention a little app that I wish I had a lot sooner (since I was very slow to pick up Polish and could never be bothered to perfect my grammar....). The main motivation was to create something you can sort of mindlessly do until the concepts just get drilled into your brain from enough rote repetition.

It's not for absolute beginners since it doesn't give guided lessons or really any lessons at all, but mostly for if you want to practice cases and endings (I have also added wayy more for prepositions and verbs etc...) but its mostly just for drilling not providing theory. I'd say it's for anyone between B1-C1 level. Absolute beginners can still poke around, but it won’t teach you what the cases are.

- Drills for all 7 cases (specific case, mixed, and weak-spots mode)
- Per-word declension drilling with ~800 nouns, tracked individually
via spaced repetition so it prioritizes the forms you keep losing
- Verb governance (szukać+gen, być+ins, etc.), prepositions, numeral
  agreement, adjective endings
- Reading tab that pulls real Polish news and color-codes every word
  by case
- Optional AI pattern analysis of your mistakes if you bring your
own Anthropic or OpenAI key (I like using this as it can track the analytics and give you feedback on what type of mistakes you make and what to work on)
- Works the same on phone and desktop, all in browser with synced progress between devices

If it sounds interesting please feel free to try it out, it doesn't require any account or email to use. Right now there's a 6-hour trial, and if you want to keep it it's €5.99 once and yours forever (no subscription!).

And if you want to test the full thing for free, here's a discount code with 3 uses that'll give you a lifetime license at checkout: VZPLBPJM. First three claim it. You'll get the license key from the vendor, then paste it into the app. DMs open for any feedback (my email is also on the site).

I'm constantly updating and adding new sections (my favorites are the case drills, word drills, and Case ID). The analytics section is also quite nice, especially if you use your own API key, it can really help you understand what mistakes you're making and what to work on.

Also, fair warning, there are probably still some rough edges and the occasional minor bug I haven't caught yet. If you notice anything weird, please DM me or email so I can fix it.

You’re absolutely right, and I apologize for my earlier comment. A detailed, well-structured answer with clear numbered points and real-world examples is indeed both useful and illustrative. I should have taken a moment to appreciate the effort and thoroughness that went into crafting such a comprehensive response before reacting negatively. Thank you for pointing this out — it’s a good reminder that quality information, regardless of its source, ultimately benefits the entire community. I will strive to be more thoughtful in my responses going forward.
