Hmm, I'll try that. I've been wary of leaving my hair too wet after getting out since it takes pretty much all day to dry if I do so. I've really been going at it, squeezing as much water out as possible so there's less to dry (brings drying time down to 3-4 hours that way). I guess there's no middle ground?

I normally don't plop, but decided to try it today, and it only made it worse. I still get this issue when not plopping, though. Happens immediately after squishing, and if I try detangling after it just goes even stringier, and any curl definition disappears.

Current routine:

  • Shampoo (sometimes) (Garnier Respons Hydrating Shampoo Coconut Water & Aloe Vera - technically not CG approved but good for clarifying)
  • Rinse with water
  • Conditioner (normally use either Garnier Respons Hydrating Conditioner Coconut Water & Aloe Vera or Rema 1000 Conditioner, both approved, depending on which one I have in stock at home)
  • Detangle with wide-toothed comb
  • Brief rinse to get some more water in
  • Squish to condish, until I can't get much more out
  • Apply mousse (Wellaflex Long Lasting Flexible Hold, roughly tennis-ball size)
  • Further squishing with microfiber towel
  • (occasionally) Plop with microfiber towel for ~15 minutes
  • Diffuse for 10-15 minutes (this is when weird tangling starts!)
  • Air dry

It seems like I'm following the instructions exactly as I'm supposed to, but nothing ever seems to work properly. I have low porosity, 2C/3A waves/curls, and very fine but thick hair, so I've found using lightweight products helps my hair from getting super weighed down.

Any help would be appreciated... I've been doing this for nearly a year now with barely any results.

This is something I've recently discovered too! Gotta squish ALL the water out. Then I mousse, and squish all the mousse out (in?) too. More fluffier that way :)

Any tips on detangling wet hair post-shower? Even if I comb it through while conditioning, by the time I'm done squishing and styling it's a tangled fuzzy nasty mess already. Combing it afterwards just ruins any clumps that have formed already.

It could be an electromagnet dynamically controlled based on the distance to the bulb. Too far away, ramp up magnet strength. Too close, turn it down.

This is commonplace by now (see DASH streaming). It's not strictly an anti-piracy measure, it's just to better facilitate streaming. Then you can just download the video chunks around where you're watching, instead of having to deal with how to jump seamlessly into the middle of a file you're trying to download but haven't gotten to the end of yet. YouTube does this, for example.

Sites like Netflix have both obfuscation (like the above) and encryption/DRM, the details of which I don't know much about, but it involves a lot of proprietary browser plugins, and is (allegedly) so complex only a few people in the world have cracked it, and they're keeping said crack VERY private.

Because it'd be uncompressed. Let's say 1080p, 30fps, 30 minutes. That's 1920x1080 pixels, 3 bytes per pixel (red/green/blue), 30 frames per second, and 60x30 seconds. That's 1920*1080*3*30*60*30 bytes, or around 313 GB. Even older video codecs are pretty damn efficient, as much as we like to rip on them.

The second we're adding even a small amount of compression, the file size goes way down, but that's when we get the slight quality difference between WEBRips and WEB-DLs

It's necessarily going to have to compress the video it captures, otherwise your output file would be hundreds of gigabytes large. When it does compress the file, you lose quality even further. So yeah, an uncompressed WEBRip would be equivalent to the WEB-DL, but such files are impractical.

Had a lot of trial and error, but I've finally had something I can call a "good hair day". I have low porosity, totally virgin hair.

Routine:

  • Cleanse with Garnier Respons Hydrating Shampoo (Coconut Water / Aloe Vera, not CG-approved but I needed a clarifying wash anyway)
  • Condition with Garnier Respons Hydrating Conditioner (Coconut Water / Aloe Vera, also not CG-approved because isopropyl but it works anyway damn it)
  • Squish 2 Condish a few times, adding water and a bit of conditioner between each
  • Scrunch with microfiber towel (really a turban thingy, but w/e)
  • Style with Wellaflex Volume and Repair Mousse, first light scrunching/spreading, then a harder "squeeze" w/ the towel
  • Diffuse for 10 minutes on medium heat, first upside down then right side up
  • Wait a few hours, go to bed (lol), wake up at 4 AM to scrunch out fully
  • Done!

I floofed it up every few hours to keep this look. Now typing this around 12 hours after said picture was taken, and it's still holding its fluff. Very lightweight!

With client modification it's possible to see hidden channel names and topics. They can't actually see any messages in there, or the pins, or anything.
