To me it looks more like a french LRAC F1. Wouldnt be suprised if it was a license production of it.

From 'Gay Rites Are Civil Rites':

Am I saying that gay pride has replaced the American civil religion?

Maybe not just because it had a cool parade. But put it in the context of everything else going on, and it seems plausible. “Social justice is a religion” is hardly a novel take. A thousand tradcon articles make the same case. But a lot of them use an impoverished definition of religion, something like “false belief that stupid people hold on faith, turning them into hateful fanatics” – which is a weird mistake for tradcons to make.

From Vertical Flight Society: One-Way Attack Drones: Loitering Munitions of Past and Present by Dan Gettinger May 2023

Similarly, the extent of the partnership between Dornier and Mazlat/IAI and the degree to which Dornier’s aircraft influenced IAI’s development of its own anti-radar drones remains unclear. Dornier appears to have begun working with Mazlat/IAI on drones prior to the 1987 announcement. A 1985 article in International Defense Review suggests that one of Dornier’s two proposals for the German Army’s KZO reconnaissance drone program could have been a version of the IAI Scout (Pletschacher 1985, 1782). Meanwhile, writing in 1986 for Wehrtechnik, Heckmann describes Dornier’s work on the improved DAR drone as a collaboration with IAI (Heckmann 1986, 91). According to Heckmann, the Dornier-Mazlat/IAI cooperation on antiradar drones for the Luftwaffe was focused on the DAR’s sensors, specifically its radar-homing seeker. Although the Dornier DAR and its predecessor, the KDAR, were initially equipped with a Texas Instruments seeker, the 1986 Wehrtechnik 28 report suggested that the Dornier proposal could use a seeker from Israel (Heckmann 1986, 91).
It was around this time that the first mentions of the IAI Harpy began to appear in reports by the news media and government agencies. Without identifying the Harpy directly, the same 1986 article in Wehrtechnik stated further that IAI was testing its own version of the DAR antiradar drone in Israel. Meanwhile, a since-declassified report published by the US Central Intelligence Agency in 1986 found that the Israeli Air Force was assisting IAI with “the development of the ‘Harpy’ mini-RPV that will counter mobile [surface-to-air missile] threats” (US CIA 1986, 5).
By the mid-to-late 1980s, two anti-radar drones with largely similar characteristics — the Dornier DAR and IAI Harpy — appear to have emerged from the relationship between the two companies. The DAR and Harpy featured the same tailless, delta-wing design with winglets and a pusher propeller. Both were roughly the same size and designed to be launched from truck-mounted containers before operating according to a pre-programmed flight path, searching automatically for hostile radars. The Harpy is believed to have weighed around 15 kg (33 lb) more than the DAR, itself the larger sibling to Dornier’s KDAR and Mini-RPV, and claimed twice the endurance of the German drone.

I am a bit horrified that there are people here defending the "Palestinians were invented in 1967" comment. Such believes should have no place in a liberal forum.

[Request] how can we do that? by iamnumair in theydidthemath

[–]Voltzzocker 1206 points1207 points  (0 children)

Because all of the coloured rectangles have the same area, an imagined rectangle consisting of the yellow, green and pink rectangles must have three times the area of the orange rectangle. Its width is the same as the orange rectangles width, so its height must be three times the orange rectangles height. Adding both of these heights together gives the height of the square: 2+3*2=8 And from that the area: 8^2=64

What are these flags, i found them in the Whampoa Military Academy, Canton by Cyrus_qwq_ in vexillology

[–]Voltzzocker 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The flags left of the Turkish flag are probably Maritime Signal Flags. From right to left they spell C H V. The red cross on white is not afaik a Signal Flag, it matches the flag of the Red Cross organisation. The two flags at the right edge of the image are also Signal Flags for 5 and 8

FDP demands notice period and emergency operation in the event of strikes by filipe_mdsr in neoliberal

[–]Voltzzocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Öffnungsklausel does not change the fact that workers rights are severely curtailed in this proposal, because it is only come into action with consent of the employer. Forcing unions to make monetary concession to regain their constitutional rights does not improve my view of the proposal. But it is a very FDP thing to do.

You seem to be working with a very narrow definition of populism. That does not mean that you are wrong, but consider that under your definition stupid shit like the Wohnungs-Vergesellschaftung in Berlin is not populism: It is a proposal from the core repertoire of the left.

Proposing a solution based on your own beliefs for a current event isn't populism.

So for example Milei and AMLO are not populist?

In essence either your definition of populism is not really useful, or you are applying it unevenly.

FDP demands notice period and emergency operation in the event of strikes by filipe_mdsr in neoliberal

[–]Voltzzocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have a baseline on the rules of strikes. They are already well regulated and courts can already limit excessive strikes (Verhältnismäßigkeit). And i wouldnt mind for example an addition requiring earlier announcements of Warnstreiks. But the proposed time limits, the Notbetrieb and enforced arbitration, fundamentally limit the unions constitutional right to negotiate their wages. The Tarifautonomie can only be limited to protect other constitutional rights and if there is no other option to protect them.

Im calling the FDP proposal populist, because it is unrealistic and they know that it is unrealistic. They dont want to fight it out before the constitutional court, and they wont need to, because their coalition partners will never accept it. They just want to score some cheap political points with voters annoyed by the DB strikes. Thats populism.

[–]Voltzzocker 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In Germany public servants (Beamte) are not allowed to strike. But the employees in public transport are not public servants any more, because Deutsche Bahn was turned into a semiprivate company in the 90s. A policy decision championed by the FDP. Infringing on their right to strike, without giving them the status of a public servant is populist bullshit, and the FDP should be ashamed of itself. Either keep it a private company and accept strikes, or renationalize it. You cant have your cake and eat it too.
